  • Great projector with a sharp and vivid picture
Style: JMGO N1 Ultra
The media could not be loaded. Pros: + Sharp picture and vibrant bright colors + Automatic picture adjustment + Android tv built in + ALLM and 120hz@1080p for gaming Cons: - controller has no backlight - no Dolby vision support - no Dolby Atmos support - android tv built in doesn't support Netflix I have been using this projector for a few weeks now and I can confidently say it's the best I have used so far. The picture is bright and sharp and it works great for gaming. There are two mount holes underneath the projector if you want to use a Ceiling mount. The auto adjustment is awesome as it removes much of the trouble with getting the picture right when mounting the projector. Regarding inputs, it has two HDMI ports, one supports earc so you can use it to send audio to your audio device of choice. I used a wisa soundsend transmitter so I could avoid the hassle of running more cable across the ceiling. The projector supports ALLM so it switches to game mode automatically for Playstation and xbox. It also supports 120hz at 1080p, though I struggle to see the difference between that and 60 Hz at times. There is no VRR support, but it's pretty rare to find console games that support that feature anyway so I'm not missing much there. The UI and interface is also one of the best I've seen as the projector utilizes Android tv for a seamless app experience. Only issue is that I can't add the Netflix app on it, though it's not a big deal since that app is available on my ps5 and Nvidia shield that I have connected to the n1 ultra via HDMI switch. The interface is definitely better than most of the generic UIs I've experienced from other projectors I've owned. There are plenty of picture options for adjusting the projector but it takes some playing with in order to figure out what they all do since there is no explanation. My personal favorite is vivid, strong adaptive luma control, bright gamma, strong local contrast control, and memc set to high. I really didn't notice a difference in the mpeg nr setting so I just left that off. For a first gen product it truly is phenomenal, but there's plenty of room for improvement. For starters, any display at this price point should come with a backlit controller. It's a little difficult trying to use it in the dark and I don't see how adding a couple of LEDs to the remote would have complicated the design or cost at this price point. Another improvement would be the addition of Dolby vision. It's still pretty rare to see this in projectors, but some short throws from hisense and formovie support Dolby vision now. it would be awesome to see the n1 ultra get a similar treatment with a software update like the hisense short throw line of projectors did. Overall I'm very happy with my purchase. If you're on the fence departing on getting the n1 ultra, I highly recommend picking one up. However be warned, once you get used to the picture, it's very difficult going back to anything else. There's nothing quite like enjoying your favorite shows and games on a bigger than life screen in the comfort of your own home. 😎 Edit 2023/10: I had to revise my rating from a 5 to a 3 because of an issue with Atmos support. I initially thought that it was my set up that prevented the Atmos from working. however, I took my SoundSend puck that connects to my wireless speakers and plug it into a cheap $300 tv and I was able to get Atmos sound on my speakers from that. So this tells me that this projector does not support any Atmos. which is a fairly big letdown considering this projectors price tag and that other projectors in this range have Atmos and Dolby vision. It's strange since my shield tv device shows that this set up with the projector should support Atmos, but there is never any sound unless I switched audio to 5.1 or pcm. It would be nice to have an update that adds this and Dolby vision in the future but I’m not holding my breath. Edit 2024/06: I raised my rating to 5 stars because of the support I have received. They weren't able to add Dolby vision or Atmos but they did everything they could to ensure I would be content. I decided to return the unit so I could find something else with Dolby vision and Atmos but the support I received is among the best I've experienced on Amazon. ... show more

  • Good projector and best customer service
Style: N1S Ultra
The projector provides ultra clear images with vivid colors. But moreover, I was impressed by their high-quality customer service. They responded quickly and kept on following up via emails. Later, when I still couldn’t solve the problem, they sent me a new one to replace the original one right away. I only needed to ship the original one back to them but they provided a prepaid shipping label. Anyway, I appreciate their service and also the good product. All my children prefer to use the projector than the smart TV. They appreciate JMGO team’s timely service too. ... show more

  • An amazing projector
Style: N1S Ultra
This is an awesome, super bright, 4K laser projector with 3D capability. And reasonably priced! Had some concerns before purchasing, and I suspect that many people probably have similar concerns. Is it bright enough? We use projector in our living room, which has a lot of ambient light. There is conflicting information out there regarding the brightness of the projector, so I was not sure that this projector will offer a meaningful brightness update to our existing one, which is also a 4K projector with nice colors, but with only 2400 lumens. I was wrong! This projector is so bright, that I permanently set the brightness to 3 out of 10. As long I don't have all the blinds wide open at the same time, 3 is bright enough on our ALR screen. I suspect that many would find 3 too bright in the evening. The first photo shown here was when my son was playing video game on it, with all our ceiling lights turned on with full power and pointing towards the screen, and the projector's brightness set at 3. This shows you how bright this project is (having an ALR screen also helps!) Does it suffer the dreaded "laser speckle" problem? I didn't even know what laser speckle problem was until I started searching for laser projectors. Some mentioned that it's worse with ALR screens. *Unfortunately*, that's exactly the type of screen we have. I was comforted by the fact that this projector claims to have eliminated >90% of the speckle problem, but I was still concerned that the remaining portion could be problematic. So far, I still don't quite know what exactly laser speckle problem is, because we haven’t experienced any on our ALR screen. To the four family members in our house, none of us could tell any difference between our old bulb projector and this new laser projector, as far as "speckle" is concerned. As a matter of fact, the picture looks gorgeous on our ALR screen! DLP rainbow effect? Our old projector uses non-DLP tech so we didn't have any potential rainbow effect. So far, no one in our household has noticed any rainbow effect, or has felt uncomfortable watching shows for extended period. So we're very happy about that. Now other aspects of the projector we really like - The image is sharp; it's smart in many ways - it will automatically adjust the picture upside down when hanging from the ceiling; built-in Wi-Fi 6 is fast; it came with very decent speakers, so impressive that I don't turn on our AV system anymore when watching regular shows; it can adjust focus automatically; it has a screen auto-fitting feature, which makes screen adjustment super easy; the laser beam automatically shuts down when you walk in front of the projector. The project can play 3D discs (yeah!!), which I really, really appreciate. Watching 3D movies with this super bright projector is a treat. When my son plays games using the projector, he was pleasantly surprised that almost all feature boxes were checked, except for two associated with Dolby Vision, which this projector does not have. Now the not so great - it doesn't have any lens shift, so the initial installation becomes vital if you don't want to lose too much picture quality (using digital keystone adjustment will cause loss of resolution). As a comparison, our old projector is much more forgiving with its horizonal and vertical lens shift. It would also be nice to have a lens cover. While having 3D capability is much appreciated, the 3D menu seams to be a little clunky. Shouldn't this smart projector be able to auto detect that 3D content is being played and know what type of 3D content is being played? I hope this will be addressed with a firmware update in the future. Overall, a very satisfied customer. ... show more

  • Pretty great...but could be better
Style: N1S Ultra
This is a great projector. Very watchable, even with the lights on. Auto focus and keystone are a little more finicky than my n1s 4k. Only real disappointment is the lack of AI upscaling. The upscaling works really great in my n1s 4k in lower resolution sources.

  • Great 4k projector!!
Style: JMGO N1 Ultra
Great 4k projector. Super bright! Clear 4k quality. I watch YouTube, movies in 4k, nothing to complain about. I don't use any screens; I project it onto my white wall in the living room. Later planning to upgrade to 4k projector screen. Recommended!
