This chipper works well for branches 1.25" or less, anything larger, up to about 1.75" max, you need to slow the feed rate. . The blades do need sharpened occasionally and replacements are available on Amazon.

1 week update - it stopped working. I wish it lasted longer. Original review - 5 stars I used it for 8 hours straight today. Had to stop because sun went down. It impressed me. Wood chips are very fine. I'm happy with the chipper.

This is not a shredder. Putting leaves in it will gum it up. The assembly instructions skip's important information. Looking at the picture on the page is better. The wood is not self-feeding. You must push the wood in slowly. if the wood is less than 10 inches long it will just dance around since it's too short to hold on to. Trying to push the short stick with the paddle is like playing "Wack A Mole". It took forever to finally push it down. I was impressed with the 30 to 1 ratio, but pushing sticks in very slowly was time consuming. It was quicker to cut them up with a lopper and throw them in the yard waste bin.

Overall it is what it says. The problem was that the blades were dull within the first 30 minutes, and I didn’t have large branches mostly just small stocks

OMG! This little machine is much more than I expected. First time out of the box I ran this thing for almost 7 hours straight and it performed far beyond my expectations! However after 7 hours I think it's time for a blade change. This machine is reasonably priced and performs at a level far greater than the price would indicate.

Great product. Really shreds up small and used it all day. After emptying bag I let it rest for 5 minutes so not to overuse it. Ran flawlessly.

It works pretty well as long as it is working. This is the second one I have had. The first one did the same thing this one is doing now. It was working fine but I turned it off to go gather more sticks and it will not turn back on. The first one worked for about 3 bags then stopped. I sent it back to Amazon and got a replacement. I got 6 or 8 bags before it stopped working. Unfortunately, now the return window is closed for the second one. My circuit tester says the extension cord has power, but the chipper will not turn on. I opened it up and verified that the blades still spin. It is clear that either the on/off switch or the safety switches are faulty. Yireal needs to procure better switches. If it was not for this issue, I would give it 4 stars. If Yireal fixed this issue and provided better quality blades, like carbide, that don't need to be sharpened so often, I would give it 5 stars.
