You all need to just add the wire to the products and it’s should be longer as well. It’s not like you garbage cans are inexpensive: even cellphones give you a charger when you first purchase a. Phone if you break it then now u have to replace it.

Ok so here is my honest review. My family and I love this garbage can. Sounds stupid, know. Fact is, that it is really good. Getting the bags in are a trick a first, but once you know how, its is simple. At first, I was going to go without the adapter, but after reading other reviews decided to get the adapter because I could only imagine how many batteries I would be changing out. I'm glad I did. The only downfall to owning this garbage can is that you find yourself waving your hand over all other garbage cans out of habit. Leaves you feeling like a moron when you wave your hand over the same garbage can 3 or 4 times before you realize you are not at home and that this is not your garbage can. ... show more

I decided to buy this for my iTouchless trash bin instead of replacing the batteries, I'm disappointed with my decision. This plug doesn't seem to provide enough power to consistently open the lid. Most of the time, the lid opens as you would expect from very low-powered batteries. I guess I'll be replacing the batteries after all. Update: the new trash can I bought from iTouchless that has the SensorCan name on it works just fine with this power cord. The old trash can with the square opening did not. ... show more

I bought this adapter for my iTouchless 13 gal touchless trash can (Model #MT13RW) expecting it to be the adapter I'm supposed to use since it claims to be compatible with all iTouchless trashcans... NOPE! It doesn't even give enough power to open the lid all the way. I've used this trash can with batteries over the last year & it's worked perfectly... except when the batteries are dying, then of course, the power decreases & I have to switch out the batteries. Well, this time, I decided to get the adapter to avoid always having to switch out the batteries (WHY an adapter doesn't automatically just come with the trash can is so unnerving to me smh). Unfortunately, when I took out the old batteries & plugged this adapter in, the lid opened even less than it did with the dying batteries... maybe an inch if that. And what's worse, I think the adapter shorted something out, because now it doesn't even work with new batteries! I'm so frustrated with this! Save your money & time... DO NOT BUY! ... show more

    • Does not work In the dark or even in moderately lit areas
Size: 8 Gallon Color: Brushed Stainless Steel
This is a nice trash can, is looks good, it is sturdy, and it works great in a brightly lit area, but in the corner of the bathroom were I put it, it does not work very well. When I was attempting to figure out why I turned off the lights and it stopped working completely. The bathroom is only 6x10 and it lit by 2 60 watt lights, but that is not enough light for this trashcan. Why is this trashcan like this when the ones that I bought 7 years ago from this same brand worked perfectly fine in complete darkness? Apparently they have gotten worse over the years. I do not recommend this trashcan unless you know that it will always be used in a brightly lit area. For that matter I do not recommend this brand, the last trash can I bought from iTouchless stopped working in 2 weeks, now this one does not work in the dark. ... show more

The lid isn’t working anymore. I bought this in May of 2020, and right about June of 2021 it isn’t working anymore. The sensor works because I see the light on and off with motion, but the lid doesn’t open. Without the automatic lid, the trash bin is terrible to use, specifically when you have wet yucky trash to toss and you have to have a clean hand available to open the lid holding that tiny handle. If you are cooking or have wet or oily hands the lids has no grip and it won’t open manually, you will need someone else to open it for you. ... show more
