Honestly I was worried about buying these lights, cheap, but had decent reviews. Opening the box was very surprised. Very well made lights, metal housing, guessing aluminum, projector style lenses really reflect the lights, honestly I think they are better than Govee. I am a handyman and I did customize the lights to fit my house and the way I wanted them to be, installation was easy, came with screws, not the strongest screws but gave you more than enough. Colors and effects were great. The app is very user friendly and functionality but does come with a controller so you don’t really need the app, but will also limit your effects that the lights can do. These outdoor permanent lights and high quality and amazing! The length is perfect and so easy to install. They look great and can change depending on holiday or how ever and whenever you want. Love that it comes with a remote control. These are definitely a value and very professional!

The media could not be loaded. These are so awesome! I love how they sync to music too! They take a bit to install (I recommend drilling a pilot hole before screwing them in). The neighbors are already giving us compliments and I just finished this afternoon. Can’t wait to create a nightly program so they change patterns/effects! Measure out what you need. If you have 2 separate levels like our house I recommend order a strand for each floor then grouping them in the SurpLife App so they work as one unit. These guys also have a 10ft extension cord if you need to install on the second floor! Get them, your family will thank you! ... show more

This set of lights is actually three strings of 50' each, with connectors to daisy-chain them together. That's fine in principle, but make sure you waterproof the connections, as they won't stay that way on their own for long, based on the gaskets and quality of plastic used in the connectors. Speaking of plastic, the entire set is made of white plastic, so I suspect that after a few years, it'll be dry, powdery and brittle off-white plastic, like literally everything else that isn't absolutely doused in UV stabilizers. In other words, try to keep the entirety of the set far under your eaves, so the sun can't reach down and ruin it. I dislike having to use Apps in general, though this one at least doesn't make you sign a contract to give away your soul just to change your light colors, so that's good. No account is needed to connect and initially program the lights, and then they can just be left alone to do their thing until you want to change up the program. I tested unplugging the set as a method of turning them off and on, and it looks like they keep their programming over at least a day after being unplugged. Thus, it is possible to control on on-off cycle of these with a basic timer or the time-honored tradition of unplugging it. I like the colors and brightness of the lights themselves, and I think the set is good in general. Potential longevity issues aside, I think the functions and fun factor are pretty good for the price. With the apparent quality of the plastic in question though, I'd like to see a lower price point for the set, or a higher-quality material for at least the functional bits like the power supply and connector bodies. ... show more

Lights worked as described. Easy to install. We still need to go back and screw some of them in place but the adhesive works great. We love the lights but please consider the color of your house when buying. Our house is a blue green so that colors do not show up as well as they would on a white or lighter colored house. The other thing to note is that if you decorate, like we do, the light from the other decorations dilute how the colors look on the house. We had to change out our several of the spotlights we use at Halloween because of this. We did place the lights further from the wall as we were looking for a wider spread effect. ... show more
