I currently live in an old house. Old houses are known for being notoriously drafty, and this houses no exception. My room is a pretty average size, but it also has 3 large windows that are extremely drafty. There is also a door in my room that leads to a back area that stays freezing cold in the winter time, that also has 3 large windows There are very drafty, and it's all made worse by the fact that door does not close, and my room door has a large space underneath it that lets in cold air from the outside of it. The house does have radiator heaters, but they really don't heat up very well, and a lot of times you could barely tell when they are on. I don't get cold easily, and I prefer the cold over heat, So you know it's cold when I have to invest in a heater. 2 years ago I had about a $30 small room heater from Walmart and the heat put out on it was so bad I had to sleep with it underneath my blanket. Many times i'd set it on my side table so it could blow in my face, and i'd still be Freezing cold. I decided to just barrel through with it, until it randomly went out on me last month. I decide to search for a heater on Amazon that was small but had a good heat put out with a good reviews, as I don't need a very large heater since I get hot easily.. let me tell you, this little heater is no joke. to feel the difference from my room to stepping out into the rest of the house as astronomical, You could definitely feel the difference, and it seems to be about a 30 degree difference. There is a knob on the back so you can adjust the temperature, but even the lowest temperature has a very high heat put out. I don't like sleeping with a lot of clothes on, as I've mentioned before I get hot easily. before I got this heater, i'd have to sleep with 2 blankets, as well as socks and A fuzzy onesie or a hoodie and sweatpants, but now I can walk around my room freely in a tank top and shorts And I'm Hot with only one blanket. I also can't sleep when I'm overheated, So for the first time Since I've had this heater, or any other heater, I've had to turn off so I can sleep because of how hot it is. Even my cats burst through my door every time I open it so they can be in the room because of how warm it is common since the rest of the house is very cold. It automatically turns off if it's not on an even surface. When I first plugged it up, I thought it was broken, but it did not register to me that it didn't turn on because I was holding it in my hands at an angle Paul, but as soon as I set it down it powered up, so it's definitely safe if you have things moved around or children running about. the outside of it does get a little hot though, but not so hot to the touch where you would burn yourself on it. it's completely metal, so it would still be a good idea to be cautious. This is actually the second one that I have bought. This one for my son. My three year old one still works fine. I keep the heat down in the house to save money. Most of my time is spent in one room and I place this under my desk or work bench at the medium to low setting. Keeps me toasty while working and if I have the door closed will eventually heat the room. (ie. probably no the best choice if you want to heat a room) That said ,the heat control was malfunctioning after about two years and I was raise to at least try to fix it before throwing it away. Coupla screws and I had it working like new. I took the cover off and blew the dust/lint out of it recently and seems like it will last another three years. Small, Light and easy to move around and place it where needed and stable. My son moved out to a basement apt and I thought "perfect gift with winter coming on so I bought another for him. ... show more

This heater is nice and small. Comes with feet that you have to attach that places it at an angle which is nice. We use ours to warm the bathroom as we give our kids a bath. It’s pretty quiet. It gets warm. The only down side is that the outside of the heater gets hot so it would not be good if you have little kids around. It does have an emergency off if it tilts or is lifted by the handle of which is a nice safety feature. It is compact enough to bring on vacation or for a camper. ... show more

So, the first unit I received had an issue with the heat control knob. Seemed to only allow me to use it a full blast. I contacted Isilier support and they responded very promptly and shipped me a new unit right away. The new Heater works great. For it’s size this is a very nice heater. A great value. The heat/blower is adjustable and the unit has a “tip over switch “ which shuts the heater off if it should be knocked over. I use the heater near my desk in an unheated space blowing at my feet allowing me to be very comfortable. A great product for the money ... show more

I recently purchased 2 of your 1500 watt, portable, ceramic heaters. One yellow, one grey. Upon first inspection it was obvious the yellow one had been opened. The bottom stand was already installed, it was re-wrapped poorly, and you could tell it wasn't in the box right. I figure it was a return that you just shipped to me. The grey one was packaged fine. Installing the handle proved difficult for my old hands as the holes for the screws in the case did not line up correctly. This was already mentioned in a previous review by someone else and I was still able to make it work. The grey one had a metal case with the handle incorporated into the design and only needed the base installed which was easy enough. As far as operation they both seem to work fine. I don't know if they can keep up with a long, cold, winter yet, but we shall see. For that reason I can't testify to long term operation. ... show more
