Powerful Robot Vacuum and Mop That Does the Work for You
Style: 575
This iRobot Roomba vacuum and mop combo is an impressive cleaning system, especially if you want to reduce the amount of everyday floor cleaning you have to do yourself. Having vacuuming and mopping combined in one machine makes maintaining the floors much more convenient. The 25,000Pa suction power is one of the standout features. It has plenty of power for picking up everyday dirt, dust, crumbs, hair, and other debris, and it does a great job keeping the floors maintained between deeper cleanings. I also really like the PrecisionVision AI obstacle recognition. It navigates around common household objects well, which means I don't feel like I have to completely clear the floor every time I want to run it. That makes it much more practical for regular use. The vacuum-and-mop combination is another major advantage. Instead of having to vacuum first and then come back with a separate mop, this system helps take care of both parts of the floor-cleaning routine. Durability: The unit feels solid and well made rather than lightweight or flimsy. The components feel substantial enough for frequent use, which is important for something that's going to be moving around the house and cleaning on a regular basis. Noise level: For the amount of suction power it provides, the operating noise is reasonable. You can definitely hear it while it's cleaning, but I don't find the sound excessively loud or disruptive for a robot vacuum. Value for the money: This is definitely more of an investment than a basic robot vacuum, but you're also getting vacuuming, mopping, strong suction, AI obstacle detection, and automated cleaning in one system. For me, the convenience and the amount of routine floor cleaning it can take off my plate make it a good value. I especially appreciate that it can reach areas underneath furniture and handle routine cleaning while I'm doing something else. That's where the value of a system like this really becomes noticeable. Overall, this is a powerful, well-built, and convenient robot vacuum and mop with strong suction, intelligent navigation, reasonable noise levels, and excellent hands-off cleaning capabilities. If you value the time saved as much as the cleaning performance, it offers a lot for the money. ... show more

Love the rotary pads, and heated drying in the dock
Style: 575
I have an older iRobot that isn't self-emptying, and it seems to bump around a bit as it finds its way. And while it does have a charger for the iRobot, it is more of a contact point for it to bump into than an actual dock. Meanwhile, this 575 has a fully functional dock for self-emptying and even features clean and dirty water tanks for emptying as well. And when it is docked, the dock even heats up to help the rotary pads dry after use. It does a great job of identifying which areas are carpeted and which are hard surfaces, so it cleans both tile floors and area rugs with ease. The rotary cleaning pads for hard surfaces lift or lower depending on the surface. They also move in and out of the machine to ensure it cleans up to the baseboards for a thorough clean everywhere. A side brush also moves hair and debris away from the wall, so the main suction can pick them up. While I had my doubts about the single-floor brush for the vacuum functionality, it does a great job on both carpeted and tile surfaces. So far, I've not experienced any odors from the machine or dock. ... show more

Overly complicated and minimal setup help provided.
Style: 575
Received a defective Roomba which I was unable to fully setup. I have a older model Roomba that works great but wanted one with the mop feature. First issue is that I had to download and use a completely different app than previous models. Second, I had to make multiple settings adjustments to my internet router such as pausing 5GHz to allow this new Roomba to connect to the WiFi. Setup instructions were very minimal, especially troubleshooting so I had to rely on Google and ChatGPT to figure out these issues. Once I got through that, The Roomba for some reason would never return to the base station and would instead, return to a spot less than 1' from the base and announce it had "returned to the starting point." After 2 days of frustration I decided to return the Roomba and I am currently pending being refunded by Amazon. ... show more

Absolutely love this robot
Style: 575
I don't think I've ever loved a robot as much as I love this robot. This Roomba has worked amazingly well since we got it. I love the fact that it vacuums and mops. It cleans so well and is very easy to use. Setting it up was really easy as well. It has a QR code to scan to download the app, and I had no issues getting the Roomba to connect. In the app, you can set up routines for it to clean at certain times during the day. I love this feature, so far we have it set up to vacuum every night and it has without fail. You can also watch what it's doing in the app so you don't have watch it to make sure it's not getting stuck. It updates you on what the Roomba is doing and what process it is in at the moment. Mopping is really easy, all you have to do is fill up the tank with water and set it to mop on the app. I like the options it has too, you can either have it just vacuum, just mop, or do both at the same time. The Roomba itself is pretty quiet, the loudest thing on it is the voice but the volume level isn't too bad at all. I do wish I could set it to a male voice, but that's just a small thing. When you first set it up, it goes around the house and figures out the layout which was spot on along with any obstacles in it's way. I really haven't had it get stuck, except for once on some wires. Overall it's pretty good at making sure it doesn't hit/get stuck on anything. Overall, I would say this is definitely worth the money. ... show more

CHEAP & SEVERELY OUTDATED WI-FI RADIO - otherwise good
Style: 575
TECH UPDATE: I figured out many of the problems listed below were because the robot was always going offline. You can see my first screenshot. It was offline apparently for 6 days but the app doesn't treat it as a big deal; doesn't actively warn you. It just doesn't do any of the mopping you scheduled. NOT COOL. The reason it goes offline is because it has a severely outdated and cheap Wi-Fi radio on board that drops and doesn't reconnect when it encounters modern WiFi. If your router is WiFi 6 or greater (updated or new Internet in the last 5 years) you're probably going to have problems with this. The worst part is support will not help you. Not only are they minimally responsive but when they do they tell you it's the router's problem, not theirs. Yes I was able to solve the problem via very specific router configurations only accessible in the advanced admin portal with AI's help, but it shouldn't be like this. Also, not everyone's routers might have the configurability to make this work without downgrading their whole network. You have to be able to set up a dedicated 2.5Ghz only Wi-Fi network (SSID) with AX features turned off. If you don't have a pretty nice router and the skills to do this, you might end up downgrading your entire network to the equivalent of a Wi-Fi 4/5 router (very slow).... Or just never be able to get the robot to stay online. I have an Orbi 6E router with a dedicated "IoT Network" (SSID) supposedly just for these types of devices, but that was not restrictive enough to make this Wi-Fi card not drop all the time. I still had to figure out how to turn off AX (WiFi 5/6) features for JUST the IoT network, so as to not impact all my up to date devices. If everything I just said is total Greek to you, and you've upgraded your home internet in the last 4-5 years, I advise you just stay away from iRobot entirely. Even after fixing all this I am still debating returning it. So I did some reading as to why iRobot wouldn't update this hardware on their devices and it turns out they are barely a solvent company at this point, have been struggling through bankruptcy for many years. They've been completely overrun by Chinese competition and are now owned by their Chinese manufacturer. Safe to say they're going through some not-growing pains. Maybe the Chinese will actually fix this. Sad. ----original review---- I got this after being completely tired of replacing my cheap Chinese robots every year or two. I'd read lots of places that while roombas aren't quite as "smart" as the Chinese brands like narwhal and roborock, they are reliable workhorses. Decided that's what I needed, so here we go Roomba. Thus far, that has been the case. Hardware is great, software is lacking. Gets the job done though. Pretty much all my complaints are with the software. None of them are deal breakers. But I will warn many of you that the software can be a little less user-friendly, and sometimes frustratingly opaque, which is sad when comparing it to a Chinese company. I would say my biggest gripe is illustrated in my screenshots where it tells me the robot hasn't cleaned in 6 days. I'm writing this review on 9/6, a Sunday. Look at my third screenshot and you'll see I have multiple schedules set to run either every weekday or Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays specifically yet nothing has run for 6 days. I really don't get it. There's probably some setting somewhere about quiet mode. Do not disturb or something but I really can't find it. Speaking of, I would really like to find that feature. Where is my do not disturb? Where can I set it to be ultra quiet if I ever ask it to run at night? Overall it is a fantastic job cleaning (for a robot) when it does. Just as good as anything I've owned. The vacuum is powerful enough and the mop always lifts any grime sticky spots, coffee stains off the tile. Also my low pile living room rug gets almost all the dog hair taken off the surface. I'm sure it still has particles down deep so I still use my manual vacuum every other week or so, but I'm pretty happy how my house looks on the normal. It will get caught up sometimes. Things such as eating little kids socks and getting the the spinning mop heads ripped off because it went up under a rug. My hallway rugs don't lie totally flat. Luckily it is built to keep working so that's what I'm looking for here. It is a simpler design, especially the dock, when compared to Chinese mopping robots. The way that it cleans the mopeds requires me to clean out the strainer in the dock more often, but I can also tell you it's not going to have the issues I had with my narwhal where it basically outsmarted itself and became useless. Anyway, I will update this to five stars if the product will last 2 years, unlike all the others. ... show more

Quiet, great cleaning, LIDAR enabled cleaning buddy!
Style: 575
This was an excellent upgrade to my current J7 Roomba. They have made excellent progress both with vacuum suction power, and the wet/mop cleaning functionality is so much more advanced than precious models. Best part is that it doesn’t leave excessive liquid on your floors like older models. The noise level is so much improved as well! Roombas have always been a bit noisy, especially on hard floors, and while it’s still noisier than on carpet, it is just fantastic. The bot is very mobile and can get in and out of small places very easily. Battery life is, “ok.” Maybe it’s just now I have it set, but I’m surprised that it does have to go back and charge on a fairly frequent basis. I love thr fact that this version has LIDAR as well. I feel like it mapped my floors so much better than the previous optical only versions. Great job! ... show more

Solid combo bot that handles both vacuuming and mopping well
Style: 575
I've been running this Roomba in my main living areas for a few days, and it's handling the mix of hardwood and tile floors without any issues. The suction pulls up crumbs and dust that my old vacuum used to miss, and I noticed a difference in how clean the floors feel after just the first few runs. The mopping function actually scrubs instead of just smearing water around, which I appreciate because my kitchen tiles tend to catch dried spills that don't wipe up easily. The spinning mops reach along baseboards and into corners better than I expected, and I don't find myself going behind it with a cloth nearly as often. The self-emptying feature has been convenient since I haven't had to touch the dustbin since I set it up, and the dock washing the mop pads means I don't have to deal with wet, dirty pads after each cycle. The robot is compact enough to slide under my couch and lower cabinets, which is where a lot of dust tends to settle in my home. It climbs over the transition strip between my kitchen and living room without getting stuck, so I don't have to rescue it every time it moves to a different area. It just runs on its schedule and keeps the floors presentable without much input from me. ... show more
