I have only had my Roomba a week, but I love it! It was easy to set up. It initially ran a mapping sweep of the house. I set up my house map on the app, labelling the rooms. You can set up smaller areas to clean like by the back door. It does a great job cleaning, going back and forth in a tight pattern until the room is covered then goes around the perimeter before proceeding to the next room. It has a long run time, about 2 hours. When finished or full, it will return to the charging station where the contents are suctioned up into the bag in the waste container. This is a bit loud, like a vacuum cleaner, but only lasts a few seconds. I don’t have carpet, but it cleans the rugs by the doors well. Would definitely recommend! ... show more

    • Item was Defective and looked used; they are charging a restocking fee for the return. Don't buy!!
I purchased this vacuum and it was defective and wouldn't map. I requested an exchange which was authorized with no fees stated. This seller cancelled the exchange without informing me. I then requested a refund based on the poor customer service and the fact the original unit appeared used and was defective. They then charged me a $67.50 restocking fee for a defective item that they didn't exchange. Absolutely ridiculous and incredibly poor customer service. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SELLER!! ... show more

    • She can’t find her way home.
This is my third robo-vacuum. I really prefer the Roomba brands to the others. They are a little noisy, but they seem to pick up the best. This is the first one I have had that has the self emptying feature. Unfortunately, the vacuum can’t seem to find the way back to the dock when it gets full. I am constantly having to go find it and take it back to the dock. Once at the dock it empties, but then starts from the home base all over again, unless I take it back to where it stopped. It’s very frustrating. I also have to find ways to block it from getting stuck under the sofa and recliners. Really, there is no point paying for the self emptying feature if you have to hunt it down and bring it back to the dock. With the last one I emptied it where it stopped and it was on it’s way again. ... show more

Had an old Roomba that was not strong enough. Bought this and it does a great job picking up the hair from both our dogs, plus the spills that I create. Love that it stores the contents in a bag automatically and let's you know when it is time to empty.

Maps the house and then you name the rooms. Then you can assign the whole house or just a room. Then it returns to base and empties. We call him Alfred. He's been great!

    • Doesn't dock well
Struggles to find charging station. Doesn't dock well. Loses WiFi which prevents cleaning. Suction and cleaning job is fine. But I don't like that I have to touch the unit every other time because it cant sit onto the charter right
