Had this for about a month now and also tested the 694. (Both did the same so kept the cheaper of the two) This isn’t the top of the line model so I’m not expecting it to be top of the line performance. With that said, it does great. We have a white German Shepherd mix dog and this is peak shedding season. The 671 picks up everything off the hard wood but not great on carpet. Pic shows it smearing it around (it does pick up some hair). However, I just wanted this to help supplement actual vacuuming so it’s doing exactly what I bought it for. So well that I only have to vacuum the area rug as needed vs the entire down stairs! (Husband’s favorite feature is being able to name it after his best friend’s wife, so the alerts are pretty comical!)

We stepped up from a 6 year old Shark. The improvements in the technology are pretty impressive. Our previous vacuum had trouble steering around corners and chair/table legs. It could only pivot and run in straight lines. This unit actually hugs close to legs and corners when turning. It picks up well, too. We always get a full dust bin after cleaning our LVP flooring on a MWFSu schedule. The app is user friendly and gives updates should anything interrupt a scheduled cleaning. My only two knocks are that this unit often gets stuck under the rear of our recliner and it has trouble returning to the base once a job is finished. We placed the base in a corner with several inches of clearance on both sides to make sure the robot has no issues lining up. The problem is it takes ages for it to get itself in position to dock. During one Sunday cleaning I watched it wander around our open floor plan living room for 30+ mins trying to find its base in the same room. Eventually our 5 year old picked it up and carried over to the dock. Overall, it’s a solid robot. It cleans well, is easy to disassemble and give a good cleaning, and its app is easy to use. Needless to say, Optimus Grime has become an essential part of our home cleaning arsenal.

I took a chance on the Roomba 676 because it was on sale during Prime Days. We live on a small farm and we are always tracking in dirt and debris and I feel like I can never keep up with the floors. Plus we were planning on getting a puppy soon and I was envisioning all the extra hair and dirt that would come with that. It came a day earlier than expected and in good condition. I was a bit skeptical at first...it is round and corners are, well...not. We have an open concept home with lots of corners and angles. I've only used it on the main floor and I have to admit I was pleasantly surprised. While it doesn't get "everything" it does get a majority and does better than expected. Pros: Set up was easy. I set it up on the charger, downloaded the app and let it fully charge. The house was pretty messy the first time I ran it but it did a great job. Even the entry way rug looked spotless. Despite my pessimism, it really does get into nooks and crannies. There are very few places it can't reach. And if all I have to do is vacuum those few places every now and then, I am very satisfied. It also gets under furniture and my stove, which I will reluctantly admit have not seen a vacuum in a long time. I wasn't sure it would get into every room, but somehow it manages. I am usually home when I run it and I pick up things on the floor to give it more space to clean. It does the wood floors and area rugs with out an issue and even managed to climb up a bit to our wood stove hearth. Cons: It bangs into things. It is supposed to and it will usually find its way around any object, but it is a bit annoying to hear it run into walls and furniture. It did get stuck on the hearth last time and I had to rescue it, so not so comfortable running it if I'm not around. The dust collection compartment is small and is usually pretty packed by the time it is done. Right now I run it about every other day so there won't be too much stuff to over fill it. Once the puppy gets older and starts shedding, I will probably do it every day. I am not sure how "deep cleaning" it is. But it picks up all the surface dirt. After the first time it ran, I walked around expecting to see stuff it missed but really couldn't find anything. It also runs for a long time. I could vacuum the whole house before it finished half the first floor, IF I had the time, which I don't, hence the Roomba. Overall, I am very satisfied with it. It's going to be a big time saver. I would give it 4.5 stars, but since I can't I'll give 5 since it does what it states it will do and any cons, in my opinion, are minor.

This is not THE most advanced Roomba; but it’s pretty great. It takes its time, mind you; so if you aren’t in a huge rush, it’ll get the job done while you are busy with other things. I’ve used it just once, so I cannot speak to longevity; but it worked right out of the box. It was already charged! You do need to clear out the bin and bristles relatively frequently, as long hair will jam it up. I probably did 4 rooms before I had to dump the bin. Considering its size, I’d call that a win. This model does not connect to a phone or empty itself, but I am pleased with it in its simplicity. Good stuff so far.

Update: after having this for about 6 months, we struggle to get this thing to work on its own. It constantly tells us there is an error. We clean it, we fix it, it just takes forever to actually start working again. My return window closed but I wish I could get a refund. This was a waste of money. Don’t buy it. So, this roomba works super well. We have three fluffy cats and there's just fur EVERYWHERE, especially since it's summer. We were vacuum every day to clean it all up. The roomba has really helped us with this issue! However, by day one, 2 of the side brushes came off. By day two, all 3 brushes were completely broken off. Like, broken off, not just bent or fell off... they broke off. I didn't think anything in our house was that rough! I did contact costumer service and they were helpful. Though they wouldn't just send me a replacement brush (what I really wanted), they did give us a partial refund. Luckily, we can now use that partial refund to buy more brushes (we found a pack of 9 for $10 on amazon). It sucks that we may be replacing brushes frequently, but the fur problem has been resolved at least. Anyway, good product, works well, does the job, but you will need to replace the brushes.
