I LOVE this vacuum. i have an intex 10' round pool and i just recently upgraded from the cartridge filter to a sand filter and tho it has made a HUGE difference it does shoot a good amount of sand that then builds up and sits at the bottom of the pool. im also surrounded by many different trees that dump all kinds of stuff in the pool. this vacuum picks it all up with ease. i charged it up and was able to go out and clean up my entire pool no problem. if your also looking to pick up sand and silt it comes with small skimmer sock type filter to put inside that reg trap bag and it catches it all with no promblem. the only 2 neg things i would say is the trap bag is very small and fills up fairly quickly. just doing my small 10' round pool i had to empty and rinse the bag 3 or 4 times. its not terribly time consuming but if you are going to use this for a larger pool be prepared for quite a bit of emptying and rinsing. also the trap door doesnt fully close so if you dont pull the vacuum out of the pool quickly when removing it, it will dump a bit of stuff you just vacuumed up back in the pool. giving the vacuum a quick swift exit from the pool seems to fix this issue completely for me. all in all this little vacuum exceeded my expectations and gets the job done. ... show more

I waited awhile to write a review to make sure I liked it. I researched chargeable pool vacuums since last year before I bought this. I would, hands down, buy this vacuum again. I have an expensive Dolphin automatic pool vacuum that works great, but I still wanted something light to quickly get the bugs that accumulate in my shallow end. This vacuum picks them up great. I even drag it down to the deep end to help the dolphin out when I’m in a hurry. The only problem with that is that the telescoping handle won’t lock in place. At first I thought it was broken since nothing happens when you turn it on. But once you submerge it, it works great. If you notice that it’s not picking up very well, it needs a charge. Only downside is that it takes a long time to charge. Now I just make sure to charge it overnight and I’m good to go in the morning. I had 2 Intex blue rim pools over 10 years before we put in our inground pool. Intex products seem to be very good quality, in my opinion. ... show more

    • Good Unit, BUT....
Great unit, very convenient and efficient in use and has the potential to keep my pool debris free. Here's the BUT: This unit arrived with obvious internal battery challenges. A full charge of >10-hours from a 2A capable USB charger, yields about 2-minutes of run-time. I complained to Amazon and after a lot of questions, I was refunded the purchase price. I intend open-up the unit and replace the NiMh batteries therein with a set of new NiMh Eneloop batteries and hopefully I will get appropriate run-time restored. 3-stars because it has the potential to do the job and Amazon responded positively. If I had at least 15-minutes of run-time, I would have gladly awarded 5-stars. FOOTNOTE: 1) The charge indicator LED does change from RED to GREEN when the batteries are fully charged (about 10-hours) 2) I managed to cycle the original batteries about 10-times, and now I get enough run-time per charge to vacuum my 9'x18'x52" Intex pool. Thus, I have awarded another star. 3) The white fine mesh really traps fine particulate. This however, MUST be installed INSIDE the black mesh filter (if installed on the outside of the black mesh filter, the white sock gets pulled into the impeller and louses things up really good!) ... show more

This vacuum is amazing! It works so well. I have am 18 ft round 4 ft. Deep pool and this can clean the entire bottom on one charge. It comes with a regular filter net that caught gives debris including bloated bees and other bugs, small leaves etc it also came with a "slime sick" for the finer silt common to my area. The filter bags are small and depending on how dirty your pool is you may have to empty them out several times. Ut the process is incredibly simple! The pole it comes with is very sturdy and long! It does not need batteries, it comes with a charging cable that plugs i to any charges that has a USB slot like a phone charges. And for how small it is it is very powerful! Fairly lightweight and easy to use. Very important ONLY TURN IT ON UNDERWATER! We went to pool stores and a comparable vacuum was $259. I didnt have high expectations considering the price of this one, but I was very pleasantly surprised!!! Worth every penny and so?e! ... show more
