It’s going back because the fan is running really loud and hot and I think something may be wrong with this computer. Even as I’m doing the factory reset it’s making clicking and popping sounds. Disappointing for the high price tag and feels really cheap/plasticy. The main attraction of this computer over a $500 computer is that it can play games so this is marketed as a gaming computer, but I purchased Minecraft and it doesn’t even support that. There’s no reason for me to keep and I have a lower price point 2019 hp laptop that works much better. The only advantage to this computer is that it’s touch screen and convertible whereas my 2019 hp is not. I’m going to try a lower price point convertible hp laptop and if I have the same issues I’ll stick with the computer I have. ... show more

    • The first one had loose debris in the fan. Caused a over heat shut down.
The replacement has worked fine all day. After the Amazon chat the replacement was ordered and arrived in a timely fashion.

It gets very hot after only few minutes of normal use..the screen brightness and resolution not very good even at maximum settings

    • Missing Speakers and Microphone
Nice laptop, but received as a gift and discovered there was no speakers or microphone installed. It's a month past 30 day return policy. Would not buy from this dealer. Trying to get a response from dealer and Amazon, nothing yet. after receiving an answer from the dealer, I did everything basically suggested and still had a problem with no speakers and no microphone. Spent three hours chatting with HP support. Finally, they took control of the laptop and did a number of things that I did uninstalled drivers reinstalled drivers reinstalled bios, finally they were able to get the sound back and the microphone all is working fine. It’s a nice laptop but more information when purchasing and after purchasing for downloading various drivers to get the laptop to work properly. I think HP can do better when they ship new product. that’s why I gave it only three stars plus the warranty according to HP. They sold it in June 2024 therefore, my warranty is not good for one year nine more months plus only. it was given to me as a gift and I was after the 30 day return policy. But between June and August, there is two months that it wasn’t sold by the dealer HP only gave the one year warranty when the dealer bought the item it should be covered under one year warranty.
