Best purchase for the summer pool. I live on a well.. cartridge filters DO NOT WORK for well water. They fill almost immediately with the iron and metal and minerals. The pool stayed brown. As soon as I introduced this sand filter, after 24 hrs of metal sequestrant, my pool went from brown to CLEAR. I never seen anything so magical. It has kept my pool clean and clear ever since. The only things that was a bummer is a peice was cracked, and a peice was missing. There was no valve for the water to stop going in when you need to provide maintenance to the pump, it doesnt come with 2 tubes for if you dont have intex brand and have 2 hoses for water to feed the pump. And it doesnt come with 2 bolts that are required for assembly.

This pump is strong and good! Dont use 1.25” hoses if you have a best way. Go ahead and buy the 1.5” adapters and use 1.5” hoses. My pool got clear in no time and use e-z pool once a week to maintain. It has a built in timer and set up was super easy! Set it and forget it.

It works well. This is my second pool and third pump. In 7 years. 15x48. I had been running the 2100. It lasted three years. Run 8 hrs a day. Got a new 2100 motor and put on the old filter, lasted another year with the old pool, two years with the new one. Needed another motor, it’s now $150 ++ through intex. Was going to buy another new 2100, but this one was only $20 more. 700GPH more, plus a 14 inch sand filter vs 12. On the pools, my liners last longer than the poles. Calcium is the key to vinyl. Keep it good and they stay flexible and don’t crack, or fade as much, which leads to leaking. More filter and pump than I need for a 15x48, but I’d rather have more, than not enough. BTW, I’m a pool professional, but since I rent, they work perfectly for me. Will probably get a bigger pool next year.

This pump saved our pool!! I was using the original little dinky pump that came with the pool and it just couldn't circulate the water fast enough and the algae would collect on the bottom and sides. In just 1 afternoon my pool is almost cleared up. Definitely recommend the upgrade. Don't waste your money on off brands amazon has up here and go with Intex!!

If you live in a rural area surrounded by trees and farms, do yourself a favor and upgrade to this pump. The stock pump that came with our 22x52 pool couldn't handle the heavy bugs and pollen, and I was wasting a fortune on chemicals just to keep the water semi-clear. This sand filter pump changed everything. Setup was incredibly easy and hooked right up to my current hoses. I used filter fiber balls instead of sand, turned it on, and within 24 hours the pool was completely crystal clear. Highly recommend for any new pool owner battling heavy outdoor elements!

If I could give this company a 0 star then I would!!! The pump started leaking about two weeks after we installed this on our pool. The warranty on this pump was advertised at 2 years. After speaking with a warranty person he started it was denied to using an extension cord. The cord we used is a proper 14 gauge cord. Again, this is not an electrical issue it’s a mechanical issue where the pump is leaking between the strainer and motor!! Stay away from all intex products!! They do NOT stand behind their products at all!!!
