Why did you pick this product vs others?: Do not buy this type of remover, spend the extra on the “tube” style. Even though this states 27mm and up, it would not clamp down to a 29mm sized tie rod (not even close) due to the socket extension hole blocking off the rest of the rotation. I’d say the lowest this probably goes is 35-40ish. If you have a smaller Toyota (sedan and probably small suvs), do not use this, it won’t fit (fail on a Yaris). Even if this does fit, it is not very secure compared to the tube type which I had to rent after this didn’t work. ... show more

I can understand the concept behind the design, but it is really counterproductive and unnecessarily frustrating. The cock sucker is awkwardly big since it sits offset to the tie rod where it is already too tight of a space that turns to frustration when attempting to finesse this thingamajigs fat ass into position. When I finally got it to a spot where it could fit there was no room to get leverage to break the tie rod free and the vise grip portion on this thingymabobber offers zero bite so it just kept slipping and sliding around the tie rod avoiding having to do its job like it was the plague. ... show more

The description said it would fit my 2005 Corolla's inner tie rod. It does not ... The tool's opening is too large so the cam cannot grip the tie rod. But for the price, I am keeping it because I have SUVs that it probably will fit.
