Why does the scale only detect weight? Please ensure you have created and selected your personal profile in the RENPHO Health App and that Bluetooth is connected during measurement. Why does the scale only detect weight and BMI? 1. Ensure your feet are dry and bare and remove thick clothing. 2. Stand and keep still on the scale for about 10 seconds to finish the measuring process. If still not available, try applying a little moisturizer to your feet and measure again. Why are results different from my old body fat scale? Our 8-electrode scale uses advanced Dual-Frequency BIA for full-body analysis, which is more accurate than lower-body-only estimates from 4-electrode scales. For tracking trends, consistency with one scale is key. Why are my measurements inaccurate? 1. Measure at the same time daily. 2. Wait for the scale display to show “0.0”before stepping on. Stand barefoot and still until the reading is complete. 3. Avoid measuring right after exercise, showers, or large meals. Why does the sound turn back on by default? Pressing the Reset button will restore all factory defaults, including the sound settings. Please avoid pressing it unless necessary.

This is the smart scale if you like to track lots of data! The user experience has been good and multiple family members have connected and can track their metrics in their own app. The key to use is tracking the trends, as with all of these scales that rely on Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis (BIA), the numbers can vary depending on your hydration level. I have seen my metabolic age go up by 2 years on days after intense worksouts and sauna due to hydration change (but it does keep me more aware of when I need to drink more!). The product is built well, and as I saw other note, the only thing that is minor is that the handle cable does require you to pull up during retraction to fully retract. Overall, I am happy and believe it gave the most results and generally good reviews for the cost.

Easy to connect to the app, easy to understand, easy to use. Allows for multiple users and offers both a general reading and a more detailed analysis. Charts progress and suggests lifestyle adaptations to meet your goals. I’m returning it. Listen, all of those numbers need to MEAN SOMETHING to you. I am not a health expert or someone who enjoys research. I’m just a random 56 year old lady who spent a year consistently going to the gym and was feeling pretty good about myself so I splurged on this. “Was” is the operative word. Now I’m obsessing about my “slightly fat” body and trying to figure out how it all settled in my knees. I have slightly fat knees? I’m overcome with hopelessness and eating a stick of butter. I don’t think this information is anything I need. But if this is what you’re looking for, it’s brilliant.

I love this scale. It's easy to use and sync to my phone through the app. It provides a ton of detailed information that seems to be fairly accurate when compared to the results I received on a similar scale at my doctor's office. We have multiple users and have not experienced any issues. So far, the battery charge has lasted several weeks. I appreciate the value when compared to similar scales. The overall quality is good and 'm happy with my purchase.

Ok I Revised this review. I found the trick to making this scale scan your entire body every time. You need to wet your hands. They should put that in bold letters at the beginning of the instructions. I nearly threw this away until I happened to try it with wet hands. I’m still unsure of how accurate the numbers for fat mass and muscle mass, etc. are. I think it might be using ratios not actual scans. But I need more data to be sure. I’ve lost 130 lbs and my weight is pretty stable now, only fluctuating a couple pounds high or low. But I have been working out heavily and I know I’m building muscle, I can see it. But if I gain a pound or two on the scale it shows up as increased fat. So all I’ll say for now is this is a great scale that measures a lot of different variables. Just be sure to have damp hands when you do the scans. This scale is worthless. It rarely scans you body. I didn’t pay this much for a scale that just gives me my weight. Do not waste your money on this.

I purchased the Renpho Morphoscan Nova after comparing results from multiple body composition tools, including a recent DEXA scan (see the first image), and I’ve been very impressed with the accuracy of the metrics it provides (see the second image from Renpho). Body fat percentage, lean mass, and overall trends were remarkably close to my DEXA results, far more so than any consumer device I’ve used previously. For context, I originally owned the Hume Body Pod, and while its app experience was significantly better, more polished, intuitive, and refined, the actual body composition numbers were consistently off when compared against DEXA. In contrast, the Renpho may not win any UX awards, but the data itself is much more trustworthy, which is ultimately what matters most to me. The Renpho app feels a bit clunky and less intuitive, with room for improvement in navigation and presentation. That said, once you get used to it, it does the job. Given how closely the readings align with a gold-standard DEXA scan, I’m more than willing to overlook the less refined user experience. If you care more about accurate body composition tracking than flashy visuals or a slick app, this is an excellent device. For anyone serious about tracking real progress over time, the accuracy alone makes it worth it. Bottom line is that, at least in my experience, the Renpho has superior accuracy compared to competitors, validated against DEXA. App needs refinement but results don’t lie.

I bought the RENPHO MorphoScan Nova scale expecting accuracy and consistency to track my body composition, but the product has proven to be completely unstable and unreliable. In a span of just 4 days—performing the tests under the exact same morning conditions—the results fluctuated in a way that defies the laws of human biology. To put things into perspective, I had a professional DEXA scan done last week, which measured my weight at approximately 141 kg with 27% body fat. Furthermore, compared to my Garmin scale, the RENPHO scale consistently shows a massive discrepancy of about 1.5 kg in total weight. Look at how absurdly this scale deviates from reality and how much it fluctuates in the history data reported by the brand's own app: June 9 (9:51 PM): Weight: 142.30 kg | Body Fat: 40.27 kg (28.3%) | Muscle Mass: 95.20 kg | Visceral Fat: 16 | Body Score: 83 (Closest to the DEXA baseline) June 10 (8:06 AM): Weight: 141.40 kg | Body Fat: 41.71 kg (29.5%) | Muscle Mass: 93.04 kg | Visceral Fat: 17 | Body Score: 80 June 11 (7:58 AM): Weight: 141.60 kg | Body Fat: 42.06 kg (29.7%) | Muscle Mass: 92.89 kg | Visceral Fat: 17 | Body Score: 79 June 12 (8:00 AM): Weight: 141.10 kg | Body Fat: 50.80 kg (36.0%) | Muscle Mass: 84.24 kg | Visceral Fat: 20 | Body Score: 61 June 12 (9:16 AM - Same day!): Weight: 141.70 kg | Body Fat: 45.06 kg (31.8%) | Muscle Mass: 90.12 kg | Visceral Fat: 19 | Body Score: 73 The main absurdity: Between June 11 and June 12 at 8:00 AM, the scale calculated that I gained 8.74 kg of pure fat and lost 8.65 kg of muscle mass overnight! To test its repeatability, I drank only a single cup of coffee and stepped back on the scale just 1 hour and 16 minutes later (at 9:16 AM). Suddenly, my body fat dropped by 5.74 kg (going from 36.0% to 31.8%) and my muscle mass shot back up by 5.88 kg (from 84.24 kg to 90.12 kg)! My overall body score also jumped from 61 to 73 in just over an hour. It is physiologically impossible for a human body to shift nearly 6 kg of muscle and fat back and forth in an hour because of a cup of coffee. Compared to my DEXA scan from days prior, the readings are wildly off. The bioelectrical impedance sensors and the algorithm of this "MorphoScan Nova" model are completely broken and unstable. If the purpose of this product is "health and fitness tracking," it fails miserably, as it generates erratic charts that only serve to confuse and discourage the user. If you need a piece of equipment with a baseline level of accuracy and repeatability to monitor your progress, do not waste your money on this model. Return requested.
