I used ropes to hold it up and out of the water, but it has done well to keep leaves and debris out of the pool. Small things can still get through, but it catches most of what has fallen from the trees. I use this over top of a regular cover. It keeps out leaves, sticks and the majority of pine needles we have. This makes it easier to use my water pump to get the rain water off the regular cover since the degree is not in the water to clog up the pump. This is a great addition to my wintering kit.

My above ground pool is set up under a large river birch tree so I can jump in any time of day without worrying about the sun. I keep this net over it any time I'm not in the pool and it has made a world of difference in the cleanliness of my pool and clarity of its water. The birch tree is very messy, plus I live in a location where we've had 95+ temps nearly all of July and so far in August, causing the tree to drop a lot of leaves. But the net catches them, plus small twigs, bugs, and other debris. It does not get everything, however. Tiny bits still get through the open weave of the net. The net is made up of about 1/4" size mesh, so some things do fall into the pool. But I don't mind that because they are easy to sweep up with my little pool vac. This net has made my pool 100% more enjoyable and easy to care for, despite being underneath the tree. I highly recommend it. (I ordered an 18' net to cover my 15' round pool so it would hang over the sides well. Hold it down with clamps when the wind blows. Piece of cake! Update - I made a dome from 6" pvc piping and lifted the net to create a dome. Secured to pool frame with zip ties. No more removing net each time I swim. Easy and works great. ... show more

    • It really helps keep the pool clean
Really works to keep out leaves and pecans from trees. If I’m not using the pool for several days, I place this cover on and it really helps keep it clean. Easy on and off, I can do both alone and don’t need more hands. I suggest placing a large float toy or beach ball in the center, under the net. It keeps the net out of the water. This helps keep the water more clean and leaves or other debris tends to just blow off and away, keeping the net more clean. Before removing the net, if there are a lot of leaves or pecans on the net, I take my electric leaf blower and blow them all off. Helps keep the net cleaner for storage and prevents all the collected leaves from falling in the pool while removing the net. Good buy, worth the money. ... show more

I like that it catches the big leafs but stuff still gets threw it and settles on pool floor. But if you use your pool everyday you'll be OK because you'll catch it. It was raining alot in pa, so I wasn't swimming but a week later I had alot of debri at the bottom of pool. So I decided to put net over solar cover to block the debri. ... show more

Where has this been!? Sturdy, easy to put on and dump. Amazing protection from leaves and sticks. So easy to dump when full, nothing fell back into pool. Hurricane Ian came and went in St Augustine and this held up and did its job. Wish I had taken a photo with it full after the storm. Last image shows some of the leaves we dumped off it. ... show more
