If you read the description you would know this pan is made out of cast iron with a non stick coating. I’ve used it once and I’m impressed, no hot spots, everything was cooked evenly and the pan cleans up easily. Because it’s cast iron, the pan holds the heat, adding food to this pan, unlike an aluminum pan which will lose heat when food is added, this pan maintains it’s heat, a pleasure to use. ... show more

I'm an egg freak. No apologies, I have eggs almost every day, but finding the right pan has been a problem. I have bought numerous brands and styles, and given them away, as they fall short of the "perfect" pan I sought. Bingo-read and found this pan type as a solution. Dimples hold the slight amount of butter I cook with, whereas non stick pans leave "gaps" on cooking surface as butter runs off. It's also heavy, cast iron or steel, and heats consistently.
