The strong customer service experience is a notable highlight.

Pros

  • 🧹 Convenient combination of vacuuming and mopping features

  • 🔋 Strong battery life initially
  • 🎧 Excellent customer service with quick human response

Cons

  • 🐾 Difficulty handling pet hair, leading to clogs and decline in performance
  • 🔧 Durability concerns with parts needing replacement after a few months
  • 🛁 Issues with smell from the roller after use and a challenging self-cleaning process
  • 🚧 Struggles cleaning up to edges and corners
  • 🔋 Declining battery life over time

Should I Buy It?

If convenience and saving time are at the top of your priority list and you don’t have pets that shed heavily, this product may be suitable for you. However, if you are looking for a long-term solution and have concerns about durability and maintenance, you might want to consider alternative options or be prepared for potential additional service needs.

Style: V4
I have owned the ILife V3 for 3+ years and love it !! This V4 is the latest version from ILife and (I think) is much improved! The cleaning ability and artificial intelligence (AI) seems smarter: it gets closer to walls and furniture; seems to go over the room in a smarter way-hard to explain. The body of the robot has 2 new buttons on top (spot clean + side wall clean.) The remote has a new max button which increases the vac's suction power (and noise level)-big upgrade! Testing it as I type this review to see how it does on max . In addition, the V4 is very quiet, so much so, I at first thought it was not vacuuming. Surprisingly, It seems to out-do the V3 even on standard power. Other than the above improvements they seem very similar: Same height, same hepa filter, dust bin, side brushes, etc. This is IMPORTANT, as you will not find V4 spare parts on line...so if it's V3 it will work for the V4. I wonder why ILife created this spare parts mystery? Maybe the corona-virus? Just remembered....the top lid lifts up and you don't have to push down first. KISS principle I guess. On the down-side....the V4 still has no rear sensor which means it can still back up over a top stair and go bang, This can happen and has happened several times to me, but some how the robot survived. (build-quality!!) To solve this, I bought some kind of weighted things that are designed to stop drafts at the bottom of a doors or windows to block the robot. Well, the robot just stopped on max power...ran for 35 minutes which is much less than on standard power. It did pretty good on max powe though. I used it in the same room that had been cleaned on standard power and it seemed to get a lot more sand and dirt ect. Maybe because sand s heavier? Although, it picked up a fair amount of sand on standard power, as well. I highly recommend the ILife V4. Can't go wrong and it's hundreds cheaper, too. Pondering the max feature...maybe it's designed to be used with spot/side wall modes as most heavy dirt ends up there and the max button is on the remote. ... show more

  • The classic "You get what you pay for".
Style: V4
Pros: Cost and low noise decibels. That's all. Cons: Technology in the 60s was superior and dirt bin is the size of a pack of your grandmother's Virginia Slims. I bought two of these because I was fed up with my iRobot Roomba 960 always clogging with dog hair and not going into the dirt bin. A friend of mine talked her V4 up so I decided to give them a shot since two units cost half of what my roomba did. At this point I figured with Roombas you were just paying for a name. That all changed after running these two V4s. There is ZERO intelligence in these units. They will do half a room and then roll on out to the next room and not bother returning to clean what they missed. I never once in 2 years had this problem with the roomba. These units to not make passing lines and just go randomly where ever they want leaving plenty of dirt left behind. I have been on the iRobot bashing train for a few months and now, well, I'm taking back all the criticism. I'll keep these units only because I'm one of those people that hate being bothered with returning things. I'll either keep them and just deal with their sporadic no sense making limitations or I'll just gift them to a friend and buy another Roomba or Samsung. ... show more

  • Makes life easy
Style: W100
I really like how this makes cleaning my house so much easier. Vacuuming and mopping all in one saves me time and is easy on my back. It does leave 3/4 inch edge where it can’t clean all the way to the wall, though. The downside is longevity. We have a golden retriever and hair gets stuck in a part of the roller that isn’t meant to be taken apart-this really slows the machine down. I did eventually figure out how to get the hair out of that piece but it’s always a challenge to get the little connector off and then back on. The machine still doesn’t work quite as well as it did at first and the battery seems to be running out sooner and sooner. I can still get the floor done, though. I have needed to get a couple parts replaced. The good news is when I call for parts or service, a human being who speaks normal English answers the phone in 2 rings! No automated menu! And she is always helpful and sends the right part! It’s amazing to get service like-I’ve called them twice-months apart- and it was wonderful both times. It’s worth it to support the company on that alone! ... show more

  • Great cleaner!
Style: W100
With kids and 2 cats at home, floor cleaning is always a big headache for me Yu before I got this cordless wet&dry vacuum cleaner. I have bought many kinds & brands of vacuums and electrical mopping machines at home. Every time I need to use Dyson V6 to vacuum the floor first (too many debris and cat hair), then use Karcher electrical mopping to wet mop the floor (can only mop half of my house due to limited battery power). It’s a lot of efforts and make me very tired each time. Now with this ILife wet&dry vacuum cleaner, I can do the floor deep cleaning in just one shot, a huge life saver for me. Three features I like the most: 1: great functionality. Vacuum and wet mopping combined and work together seamlessly. 2: powerful battery. With one charge I can clean the whole house (vs. I need to charge my existing Karcher mopping twice to clean the whole house) 3: self cleaning. Just put it back to charger and press self clean button, no need to use my own hand to wash the disgusting roller brush anymore. Highly recommended! ... show more

  • Worked good for a few months then started breaking
Style: W100
The vacuum worked pretty well. The first few weeks it started having problems with dog hair. If you have a dog that sheds I would not get this vacuum cleaner. After removing and cleaning the roller, I just used it on hardwoods for about two months and then the water tank broke. All told it lasted about six months maybe. I did like the cordless feature and it does seem to clean pretty well when it worked. ... show more
