I haven't had this long enough to speak to its durability, but I hope it lasts a long time because I love it. My house is hardwood and tile, and keeping up with the floors is my most dreaded household chore. With multiple dogs and cats in the house, there's always a mess to clean up, and let's not even talk about the hair. The instructions say to charge the unit overnight before using it the first time, so don't think you'll be able to try it out the minute it arrives. The mop attachment is under the formed cardboard insert and there's a sticker on the cardboard that says so, but it seems from other reviews that not everyone noticed that. Look under the cardboard before you throw out the box. It comes with a dustbin installed and a water tank in the box. My dustbin arrived with a broken hinge. That doesn't impact the function and I will contact the seller about it, but I couldn't wait to use the robot. I had vacuumed and washed all my floors before the robot came because this robot, which I named Floora, is obviously not meant for deep cleaning. It's more of a maintenance thing. But she did a great job on her first go-round of vacuuming. The bin was stuffed with animal hair, which I supposed came from under the furniture where the vacuum didn't reach. I was pretty excited about that. She did well on picking up dust and little things, which is really helpful, but she doesn't pick up big clumbs. She does, however, shove them ahead of her and eventually flings them to the side, so they're easy to find and pick up. I just went around with a paper towel and picked them up when she was done. I expect that sooner or later, Floora will push all the big clumps into the open and then she should be able to simply keep up with the small daily messes that accumulate. After the first vacuuming session, she returned to her home base to rest and recharge. She'd earned it. The instructions say to place the home base in an open area and some reviews said the base should not be placed near computer equipment. I ignored the instructions and put it under an ottoman. She has had no problem finding her home, which is great because she's out of sight when not in use. Later, I sent her out to mop the floors. Wet the mop first, or she'll waste time dragging a dry mop pad around for a long time before it soaks through. The water tank relies on gravity to put down water, and if you don't wet the pad, you'll get the "two streak" effect some reviewers complained about. As others have pointed out, this is not an intelligent machine. Floora just randomly wanders around.I think the only way to really get clean floors with this robot is to use it every day or two. Otherwise, you're just not going to get complete coverage. However, Floora is so easy to use, there's no reason not to put her to work each night (or day). She can be scheduled, although I think I did that wrong because she didn't do her vacuuming at 3 am, as I'd asked her. I'll try again this evening. There's only one problem I have so far with Floora. She gets stuck on a few things, and she seems to really like going to those things. The first thing is a cat scratching post on a base about 1" high. She gets one of her wheels caught on it and can't get off. I moved it, problem solved. The other is a sideboard. She can get under it but she can't get out. When she gets stuck while mopping, she continues to release water, so you'll get a puddle. If you have hardwood floors, make sure you learn where she gets stuck in your house and fix it before you leave her alone. In comparison, I previously owned a Scooba. It was a hassle to use and didn’t do a great job. I didn’t use it very often because setting it up and cleaning it was more annoying than just steaming the floors with a steam mop (I had all tile floors then). It lasted about 9 uses and when it stopped, Roomba would do nothing for me. I bought that unit refurbished for $100+ than I spent on this robot, and this robot is far superior. ... show more

Context: I have 2 huskies, an active toddler, and a husband who wears work boots. I have had the Roomba twice, and recently a Shark for the past 2 years and they CANNOT compare to this one! I am stunned how great this works. It vacuums and MOPS! My dogs are not in all the time but they do shed. This machine keeps up with them. The self cleaning is amazing! My vacuum arrived 2 days ago. It's the first robot vac that I have purchased so I really don't have anything else to compare it to. I recently purchased a bigger home than what I had and I found myself sweeping atleast 4 times a day and each time I'd spend a little over an hour getting it done. (I have white porcelain, tile floors, every piece of hair, stain, streak, dirt, etc shows😬). I don't have pets but I have 3 children under 6, and they like to eat snacks all over the house. Also, let me add that we live in the country, so there is alot of dirt coming in just by stepping outside. I like to have my house as clean as possible, but I found myself cleaning more than spending time with my babies, so this is when I started looking into a robot vaccuum. I was skeptical of it's performance due to its price, especially since I stopped at a store and was told the best vacuum was over a THOUSAND dollars AND it didn't even mop, that included a separate $500 robot mop!!😲 So to find this under $200, I thought, "no way this will be great.) Let me just say that in these two days I have NOT swept or mopped manually once!!!🤗 I put it to charge the afternoon when I got it, then right before bed, I let it do its thing while I supervised, I had already cleaned so I did it more to see how it moved around my house. It did get stuck on my stools, which was weird for me, I don't have all my furniture in yet so I can't say it had trouble with any other furniture piece. So since I didn't know what to expect, I sent it to the dock with the control ( I can't tell you that it not being wifi enabled is an issue, again, I can't compare to any other robot). The next morning, my 2 older kids ate breakfast, made their mess and off to school they went. By this time, there was dirt from us going outside as well. I decided to put my vacuum to work, I put my stools in a room and closed the door, I closed all my bedroom doors, because I wanted to take a quick nap before my baby woke up and I didn't know how well it would move throughout the rooms. I have an open floor plan, so with all my bedroom doors closed, my vacuum still had a large space to clean. My kitchen, dinning area and living room are roughly about 1000 sq feet. I can't tell you I saw what it did, but I can tell you that after my morning nap, I woke up to a beautiful clean white floor and the robot vacuum was back at it's dock. I was amazed!! My dinning area did have some spots that I still had to clean myself, but that took me 3 mins, nothing compared to the hour I would have wasted. I made breakfast for my baby and took the vacuum to the master bedroom, that opens into my bathroom with no doors to separate them. I went ahead and picked up my bath rugs, and closed my bedroom door and headed to the living room. I played with my baby and after a while went to check on the vacuum. All my hairs were gone and my floor sparkled away. I've never been so proud of a purchase, I'm so excited that this is the first time I EVER write a review on here and I purchase ALOT from Amazon. When I say ALOT, I mean I'm usually expecting a package every other day!! Today, Saturday, I normally go out with my kids, but before going anywhere I have to leave my house clean, but not today! I picked up all the toys, bigger items, etc, threw my dishes in the dishwasher, started my vacuum and off I went. Spent all day out, got home at 9pm and Lord be hold, I walked into a sparkly clean home,my heart never felt so happy!!!(I love walking into a clean home after a long day). I must admit, the vacuum didn't make it to it's base, I found it close to a cable. The cable was not stuck in it or anything, so I don't know what happened, but somehow, it stayed there after cleaning my house ( this is the only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5). I put it back on it's base and was able to sit and write this long review instead of cleaning before heading to bed, which is my normal routine! I feel like a have more free time to enjoy things I never did, like watch a movie! I have yet to use the mop, but even if it's not the best, my investment is still worth it! Even if it were to break down tomorrow, I already feel like I got my money's worth by getting so much free time! I will update in a couple months and hope I'm still as excited as I am now! If you are skeptical like me, don't hesitate, buy it, and if you have no other vacuum to compare it to, you will thank yourself for taking the plunge and buying it! I will definitely rave about my purchase to all my friends that feel like they stay cleaning every day all day long, just like I did! I have a total of 4,000 sq ft in my home, so I'm thinking I might just buy a second one to put one on each side of my house, yes, that's how much I am enjoying it!! Most vacuum cleaners suck. This thing rocks!

============ UPDATE 6-26-19============ I've had this little guy for about a year now and he's still going strong. Nothing has worn out aside from the first dust filter, and even that was only a couple of months ago. You just have to clean it after each use. I turn the filter around in it's plastic holder. hang onto it by the holder, and smack against the side of my sink. (similar to what my ex did when I accidentally left the freezer unplugged. Doh!!!! 🤦♂️) I've never tried to use the floor mopper. I've read it can leak and I don't need it anyway. He is SO smart too! He could have taught my kids a thing or two about doing their chores WITHOUT the attitude if he had been around 20 years ago. I can put him down anywhere in the house and he seems to instantly know where he is. He is TRULY amazing! +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ I got this vacuum cleaner about 4 months ago. I love it. Especially since my fiance moved out a month ago. It's quieter in operation and doesn't complain. I'm calling it a win. I named my robot "SuckUp". He seems to like the name. He's been doing an amazingly awesome job, considering the price point on this one. I didn't really think much had happened the first time SuckUp vacuumed my floors because the cartridge was so light when I took it out to empty it. I was shocked when I saw a solid block of hundreds of dust bunnies trapped inside. SCORE! He gets way closer to the corners than you'd think because his paddles that sweep everything towards the vacuum intake are so long. He also surprised me when he powered right up the little step between one room and another. On the other hand, he seems to get excited by cat scratching posts and gets a little too affectionate. I expect that behavior from my dog, not my vacuum cleaner. ;-) It's a hoot to watch the little guy keep trying though. He's so eager. So...here are a couple of suggestions to make dumping the cartridge a little easier. Press down on the little spots on the top for a second to open it. It has a spring lock like a lot of cabinets nowadays. It can be touchy about where you press down before it pops open (again, not like my ex). The top of the collection cartridge has a yellow handle in the shape of an arch, reminiscent of cheap burgers. There's a depression in the middle of the top to slide your fingers in, to get under the handle and remove it after cleaning . Pop open the top. The thin screen filter is in an L shape with 2 tabs protruding upwards to be used as handles. Holding the cartridge by the tabs, slide the plastic frame on the smaller side of the screen down into the cartridge, using the slots on the inside near the back of the cartridge. Close the top. Insert the paper filter into the rectangular plastic frame. It's about the size of a pack of cards With the paper in the frame, insert the frame, insert the plastic frame into the rectangular hole beneath the hinges on the back with the side with the plastic tab up and facing away from the filter. The vacuum came with spare filters. My filters are lasting forever. Cleaning the screen filter is easy. A few puffs of air and a few hairs pulled and it looks great. There is an awesome sneaky trick for the other filter though that will let you use each one many times before replacement. AND, you don't get dust all over you, cleaning it. When you clean and empty the front compartment, you need to clean the back one as well. It is behind the screen filter so it will only catch dust. Pull the dusty plastic filter frame out of the back of the cartridge. Flip the filter over inside the plastic frame. Smack the plastic frame on the side of your sink a few times and see all the dust that was in the filter drop to the bottom of your sink. Remember to use the frame or you'll crush the filter. Just remember to flip the filter over each time, before cleaning it. That's it folks, I hope this was helpful! ... show more

Somewhat impressed. I've had it for 3 weeks now and used it quite a bit since its arrival. I live in a single level apartment, 5 room apt, about 750+ SqFt with 89% bare floors, three area rugs, and no pets. We call ours Zac the Vac. The first time Zac picked up a tremendous amount of debris off the floor, however he has a random movement pattern and as a result goes over and over the same places multiple times, while missing other areas completely. I had to manually guide him on a few occasions to cover missed areas. Zac seemed to be trying to escape my apt as it kept going over to the balcony door repeatedly. I used Zac on the same low pile area rugs over multiple days and he left large and small debris behind each time, in both the regular and the max power modes. I put Zac in edge to edge mode, but he didn't do all of the perimeters. Again I had to manually guide him to help it stay on the perimeter. I tried to set it for a scheduled clean one day to come home and find it didn't do anything. The manual says if you don't hear the beep it didn't set. I don't remember if I heard the beep or not, so I'll chalk that one up to user error. I tried again while I was home. It kept beeping, but didn't run on the schedule, so I tried to set it again and finally it ran undisturbed for almost 2 hours! Zac picked up a significant amount of debris considering it just ran yesterday and the day before. Not as much as day one, but slightly more than day two. Zac couldn't find or make his way back to his base on multiple occasions. The first time the battery died after about an hour of mixed power use and it didn't find the base before dying in the middle of the floor. Another time I had to manually guide him back to the base. On day three I let it go on its own to see what would happen. It got close and turned away because of an obstruction then went far away from the base and got tangled on a cord and died. The battery lasted about 90 minutes to almost 2 hours (as indicated) in low power mode in scheduled mode before being exhausted which I thought was pretty impressive . I also closed off two rooms to limit access and focus more on the outer areas. Zac ran over cords under my entertainment center. The cords got tangled in the wheels and sweepers and took some time to untangle, but I eventually fixed it and it began running smoothly again. Zac also has slightly higher lip in the front than on the back which prevents him from going under some of my furniture. I've seen other units where it is completely level all the way around. As a result he can't go under my coffee table or couch. A few times since the reviews above, it's gotten stuck under chairs, on my area rug and tangled in cords again. Zac still picks up quite a bit and does a good job. Even for a basic model without a lot of bells and whistles, my floors look great and have never been this consistently clean. Based on the other uses who had problems, I brought the warranty so if in the end it only lasts a few months I'll either get a replacement or upgrade to a better model/brand. If I do upgrade, I definitely want a model that has more flexibility in scheduling. This one only has a single schedule setting, which means it will run every day of the week at the same time provided the scheduled setting is turned on. I don't want to use it every day out of fear of wearing it out faster, but remembering to turn it on and off and reset the timer is more hassle than its worth. UPDATE - Using the wet mop feature now. It's been running for almost an hour in a closed off room and I have yet to see any water on the floor although the mop head is damp. I was hoping it could do a damp mop in addition to the vacuuming, which is still pretty impressive, but I don't see this as being the case. I'm going to let it run until the water runs out or the battery dies, whichever comes first. I lowered my rating because I bought the unit for both features and it appears I'm only getting good use out of the dry mop. ... show more

This robot vacuum is amazing. It’s thorough. The bag is designed so that when the robot docks and empties it sucks the waste sideways into the bag. This enables it to not waste any bag space so you’re not going through replacement bags often. It’s amazing. The only downside is that it is a bit loud. Hubby gifted this to me for Christmas (before Christmas--hahaha). I love it! We have all laminate hardwood floors, and I am OCD about keeping the floors clean with three cats and a puppy. I would sweep/mop several times per week, and I still felt the floor wasn't clean. I really love this robot (Rosie) overall and recommend it to friends and family especially with limited time or back/health issues, but see below for more detailed comments. Vacuuming: I feel this vacuums the floors perfectly; Rosie has all terrain wheels and can get out of most cases when it is caught. I have several floor transition strips, one about 1/2 inch high, and Rosie goes over it no problem. As you use it, you will learn where it gets stuck and how to solve it; Rosie finally motivated me to clean up the wire mess behind/underneath the TV console since she kept getting caught. I pick up my floor rugs because she does get stuck on them (they are not hard on the bottom, but they are washable rugs--really can't describe them much better). The only furniture it cannot go under is the couch which is low profile, but it gets under the beds, futons, entertainment centers, and cabinets. I thought I kept my floor pretty clean, but I've used it several times a week for the last three weeks and had to empty the bin in the middle of cleaning! Week 3 and I don't need to empty it as much. She picks up big pieces; the pattern she vacuums is random, but she does get the entire floor done. I have not used the spot or edging functions since she does those every time she runs. She runs for about 150 minutes (2.5 hours) when fully charged. One con is that there is no barrier function to this robot like with the Rumba--not a big deal, but it would be nice to keep her out of the kitchen when I am making dinner. Another *slight* con is that the scheduling function is very minimal--you can set it for one time and that's it. You can't schedule days or anything else. I have tried to cancel the scheduling function since I don't have a consistent time that works for me, but she wouldn't quit the schedule although I followed the website directions. I just turn her off when I don't want her to run. I don't do the bedrooms all the time so I close the doors to keep her in the main area (laundry room, kitchen, and living room on a one story). AS A PET OWNER DO NOT RUN THIS UNLESS YOU ARE AT HOME! If there is vomit or urine or feces, she will pick it up/spread it around the house! Mopping: I am still iffy on the mopping part. You can't use detergent to mop, only water, so I am not completely happy about that. I do still "hand mop" high traffic or very dirty areas like in the kitchen, in front of outside doors, and places puppy likes to mess (yay housetraining!). Otherwise, Rosie mops the rest of the house, and she does a decent job. She still does the random pattern when mopping but not a big deal. Even if I am not completely satisfied with the mopping portion, the vacuuming portion is spectacular so I am okay with it. ... show more

I love this thing. I’m simply obsessed. Next month will be one year of owning it and we use it every day, several times a day. Our house is about 2100 square feet, we live on a farm with two young kids, it does daily cleaning of the floors so I only need to deep clean once a week. I do wish it got closer to the edges, that’s the only reason for one star off. Of note, we have no carpet in our house, so I cannot speak to how it does on that. We also do not use and have never used the mopping function. Battery life is good, it can clean on high for about an hour, and seems to recharge fast. Mapping is very accurate, it occasionally will get bumped or pushed off route with my kids and it confuses the robot a bit, but it usually snaps out of it after being placed back on the charger. Never had an issue with connectivity, even when we are in another state I can easily start it. I would like to see child lock on the next version, so the robot would ignore if the bottoms on the robot were being pushed. Overall, this thing has saved my sanity.
