Bought it just for more suction. Pros: 1) received more sucstion power. 2) like the remote 3) my older hood produced 60db at 450cfm. This one gets maybe 62db at 900cfm CONS 1) First of all, prepare to spend good hour on removing the film that is covering the hood and the hood vent cover. (Beware, do not try to use fan or heat gun, it will somehow melt the glue under it and you will spend another half hour removing the glue with googone, acetone and Windex.) 2) the way you install it. The wall will have two screws which is ok. To hang the hood you would need to attach a plate to the back of the hood by using six little screws. This is so unfortunate because I see couple screws are already coming out and will eventually wait for a good earthquake, I guess. I used correct screws and screwed them in tightly but not overnight. 3) The handless control sucks! I walk and switching on/off the hood all the time with my head, basically. I need this to be offed. And a genius who invented it should not do this again or at least think a bit further. Hand gesture works almost great but I don't want to use it if me walking past it triggering it. And if I am covering all sensors with unnecessary electrical tape - remote is not working. And let's face it, covering sensors with any bit of black electrical tape is histerical because it works counter designers idea and he forgot to add ability to switch off this stupid sensor. Anyway, with this I am disappointed. P.s. at least it doesn't make any beeping noise when turning on off etc.

I wish I could give this hood 5 star. It could have been perfect. I like to get cast iron screaming hot and then sear a steak or burger. Well that generates a lot of smoke so I wanted a hood that was powerful. This one is. I also wanted a hood the covered the full stove top. So many are not deep and the front burners are usually the biggest and generate the most heat and smoke, this one met my needs. I really liked that this unit had 4 lights that provide a nice even illumination of the work area. My last hood had an aluminum mesh filter that was hard to clean or discolored badly in the dishwasher. I wanted stainless steel grate filters like the one in the kitchens I've worked in. Again this hood in the target. So why the 4 stars? Well this is loud. Yeah I expected it to sound like a jet engine at level 4 when I need it. But level 1 should be background noise, it is not. I used a sound meter on my phone and it measured 43db. The owners manual suggests that it should be 28 db at level 1. My installation has the exhaust pipe going straight up with a slight bend (less than 30deg) so that the roof vent was a little away from the exterior wall. Than there is the hand gesture sensor. I thought this was a cool idea. But, I'm 6'5" and when I walk through the kitchen the hood thinks I'm waving my hand in front of it. The fix? Put black tape over the sensor. At least the hood doesn't turn on when I go to put something in the sink. I have reached out to customer support and they were responsive to my inquires but in the end the hood is less than perfect and so a 4 star.

This is the range hood I was looking for, IPK04. Pros: High CFM, great lighting for cook top, heavy guage stainless construction, and quiet motor. Cons: none so far. Touchless controls are a little sensitive but that's not a real issue as I am still getting used to it. Installation Tips: the bracket that attaches the chimney to the wall does not need to touch the ceiling. It should be about a quarter inch below the ceiling. Just look at how the bracket holes line up with the chimney holes to determine the correct spacing. Also, it's very easy to scratch the top half of the chimney when sliding it in the bottom half. It may help to add masking tape to the inside of the bottom chimney at the very top. You won't see it and it won't scratch the other half.

The media could not be loaded. Installed during kitchen remodel. Beautiful range hood with high quality stainless steel-seems thicker than others and very sturdy. The hands free feature is awesome and no issues at all with turning on when not wanted, I tested it several times and you have to be about 3-4 inches away for the sensors to pick up the waving motion. Very useful feature when cooking so you don't get food on it. There is a nice remote with it but I really don't find that I need it. The lights are great for cooking but do not turn off with the sensor feature like the fan does, only on. Ceiling height is 9'11" and the chute fit perfectly with everything that comes in the box. Actual rangehood width is 29 3/4 and depth is 22 1/8. Install is 30 1/2" above the range top. I chose this rangehood partly because the chute is larger than others and does not look too skinny on the high ceiling. Chute size is 12" wide X 10" deep. I used 39" in height of the chute. Airflow is excellent and is not as loud as many others. Levels 1 & 2 are very quiet and move enough air for most scenarios. Levels 3 & 4 get loud but move a lot of air for more serious (garlic, fish) cooking. The installation directions could be more clear and I recommend 2 people for the install. I would also remove at least the edges of the plastic protection on the chute before install as it is not easy to peel off and does wrap around the edge. I put some painters tape around the chute where the 2 pieces connect during install to avoid scratches. I've been using this for about 3 months and would highly recommend. Very happy with this purchase.
