so far so good. Just received and it replaced my old cook top like a breeze. Husband had no issues installing and didn't even take take an hour from removal of old to install finished. All elements are within their respective circles and all lights worked. Old top was a GE and lasted 20+ years but couldn't see paying over 1k for it now fixed income and all. burner sizes are a bit different from the old one but not enough to matter. this cooktop works very well with my pots and the installation is very easy. I had anther cooktop but my husband put a 1 gallon can of paint on top of it and it crash. so I was looking for a cooktop to replace it. I bought this to replace a 4 external element burner top. I was unable to find a suitable external burner top, so decided to try this glass top. I DON'T LIKE IT AT ALL! All it is is pretty and easy to clean, if you use the ceramic cleaner. There are so many 'Don't do this, don't do that' etc, etc. in the user manual. Impossible! You can only use flat cookware. NO CAST IRON! If you are trying to cook, the under-glass burners keep turning on and off, on and off, continuously, instead of providing one continuous heat at a specific level. It takes forever to even boil water!!! Off and on! And the food you are cooking heats and cools, heats and cools. After installation, I checked with other people that has glass cook tops. All five of those that I checked with said that they did not like theirs. Of course, too late for me. I use the glass top only when I have to. This was a $500 mistake!!! ... show more

    • A good replacement for an older Frigidaire.
We just bought a house and the old range was all kinds of bad. Anyway, I pulled the old one out and installed this one. I had to make some adjustments to the old cabinet drawers with a sand saw, but nothing extreme. Well worth the money.
