Overall, I like this product. The only issue I've had with it is that the burner grates are not level. They wobble. This is because of the design of the base that the grates sit on. The base is 1/4" lower towards the center front. To resolve it, you need to replace 4 of the silicone buttons with1/4" thick silicone buttons. Now they are level and don't wobble. ... show more

    • Excellent stovetop for my BBQ island

I have a large BBQ island and wanted to include a large stovetop besides just the one burner incorporated with my BBQ grill as I like preparing various side dishes when I hold a BBQ party/gathering and was tired of going in and out of the house to use the stove. This stovetop is absolutely incredible - it is extremely well-made and is not flimsy at all as the metal surfaces are solid as are the cast iron grates, and the knobs are made of metal, not plastic, and have a solid feel to them. I swapped out the nozzles/fittings in order to use it with a propane tank, made all the necessary connections, fired it up, and voila!; this baby lit up quickly and all the burners worked without an issue. We had a "heat wave" here in NYC in the middle of winter (it reached 50 degrees!), so I was able to test it out and boy, did I ever! Side-by-side cooking on the grill and stove for the first time: steak and lobster and corn on the grill, while on the stove I was cooking up garlic mashed potatoes, steamed green beans/asparagus/broccoli - all at the same time; no more running in and out of the house. Manna from heaven! This is such an incredible timesaver and it's a lot less exhausting. I regret not getting a stovetop ages ago. As a bonus, the stovetop comes with a cast iron grate adapter for using a wok, which was really nice as my wife and I like making Asian cuisine from time to time; we're no experts but we give it a try and more often than not, it's edible. I made some really good shrimp fried rice on it and I'm looking forward to being able to fully cook outdoors once Spring comes around. To conclude, if you've been thinking about cooking outdoors next to your BBQ grill, I highly recommend it. I'm no spring chicken and at my age, it's exhausting going up and down the steps to get to the indoor kitchen. With this stovetop, I'll just need to carry my spices, food, and of course, beer in one rolling cooler and cook to my heart's content outdoors while I listen to music on my Bluetooth speaker. I got this specifically for my outdoor kitchen that I'm building. I'm planning to run it on propane outside, but I haven't actually gotten around to building the whole setup just yet. I did actually get to test this because it comes with little feet and you can actually just set it on a flat surface and hook it up. That's exactly what I did. Right now, it's cold, wet and miserable outside, so I quickly prepared some fried rice in a wok and then ran back inside. It worked great. Now, this isn't a wok burner, so don't expect jet engine like flames out of it, but it does work. It is enough to get the sides of the wok reasonably hot. Once again, it's not a wok burner, so it's not going to just heat the whole wok without you moving it around a bit, but with a little effort, you can definitely use a wok on that big middle burner. Remember, a good wok burner is over 100,000BTU (professional wok burners can be over 300,000), while the center burner on this is 11,262BTU. That does sound bad, but it just means that you need to keep the wok moving around to keep the whole thing hot. This works far better than a flat top stove. Overall, I'm happy. The instructions were not great though. Getting it set up for propane wasn't bad once I figured out what I was supposed to do. I'm more than happy to put this in my outdoor kitchen in the spring when it's warm enough to start building. Until then, I'll probably sneak outside and cook some things on decent days this winter. ... show more

What I like: -Easy to install -Comes with regulator for natural gas and propane -Looks really nice -5 burners Cons: - very light weight without the grates, feels kinda cheap - gas fittings where smaller than what my line was. So I had to get additional fittings (not a big deal but had to do it) All in all it works great and I definitely like the 5th burner however the 4 stars is because of the lighter weight making it feel cheaply made. But I like it and would recommend especially for a remodel on a budget. ... show more
