There is a lot to like about this note taking tablet. It has a ton of features that take a while to master. Yes its super light and thin and feels a lot like paper to write on. You can add apps to it in the google play store to enhance its functionality (Ereader or library app etc), but it does a lot all by itself. - You can write or draw on the unit, it will turn most handwriting into text (you can't be too sloppy) - It will translate written or transcribed text into a different language. - It has word processing functions so you can edit documents created. - It has a microphone you can use in a meeting to automatically transcribe into notes and it can distinguish between different speakers. I tried it in a meeting where 4 different people spoke and it was accurate and kept track of the voices [Speaker 1], [Speaker 2} etc. This is probably its most useful feature. Transferring files can be done to their companion app or you can email an image, text or PDF file for further processing. Turning notes into formal meeting minutes CAN be done on this device, but the processing apps and operating system are not as capable or easy to use as Mac or PC. The screen is NOT backlit so you need good lighting, it's not a bedtime companion. A few reasons I gave this only 4 stars. - The operating system is cumbersome and it's hard to find the functions you need. I'm sure I will master it over time, but for infrequently used features, I'll have to hunt around. It's also slow to respond. Maybe that's part of the low power features and it does not lag for handwriting which is good, but everything else is just a bit slower than any other device you own. Functional but requires patience. - Screen resolution is low so some things look pixelated or don't display that clearly. Disappointing for a device at this price point. - Onboard software (editing tools etc) are a bit non-intuitive as well and it has a smaller feature set than I would have liked. To be honest though, they do seem to be making significant software updates (you have to manually initiate an update) so this has the potential to get better, quickly. If you are going to get this, I highly recommend the folio or some case, it will protect the screen but more importantly, it's so thin you need the extra bulk and friction. Bottom line, this is a highly capable note taking, translation, drawing, E-reader tablet thats very capable, but has yet to meet its full potential. If you just need the things that its good at, and will use other tools for final products, this is the device for you. ... show more

This iFLYTEK AINOTE 2 Bundle with the Deep Navy Folio Case has become my preferred setup for taking meeting notes because it combines an excellent E Ink notebook with a case that protects it without adding much bulk. The tablet is exceptionally thin and light, and the magnetic folio keeps that feeling intact instead of turning it into a bulky package. The deep navy PU leather cover is one of the nicer surprises. Depending on the lighting, it can look almost black in a dim room, then shift to a much brighter blue under direct sunlight. It gives the case a little personality without being flashy. The interior uses a soft, low nap velvet that is gentle on the screen, and both materials feel comfortable during long writing sessions. The magnetic attachment also makes removing the case quick, although it offers less drop protection than a rigid shell would. Writing feels natural after adjusting the pressure sensitivity. The included EMR pen supports 4,096 pressure levels, allowing line variation with pressure sensitive pen styles. I found the default settings a little scratchy with very light pressure, but after tuning the sensitivity it matched my handwriting well. The display refreshes quickly while writing and erasing, so it keeps up without feeling sluggish. I also appreciate how flexible the erasing options are. Using the pen like a traditional pencil eraser works well, but I mostly use the circle erase function because it consistently removes every small stroke in one pass. Audio recordings are linked directly to notebook pages, and the built in AI noticeably reduces pen scratching during recording while still leaving voices easy to understand. The transcription and summaries have also been consistently accurate. The software continues to improve through updates, and the ability to install APKs makes the device more flexible than many dedicated E Ink notebooks. My only real complaint is that it does not share the same ecosystem as the iFLYTEK P1 and P1 Pro, so existing users should not assume everything syncs seamlessly. For anyone looking for a lightweight digital notebook with an attractive protective folio included, this bundle is an excellent option. ... show more

Size: AINOTE 2 Blue Bundle
I got this note taking tablet as a gift for my sister for college, and she has been really happy with it so far. She uses it for school notes, but also for drawing in her free time, so it has been nice that it works well for both. The writing feels quick and instant, which was one of the first things she noticed. There was not that annoying delay you sometimes get with cheaper tablets, so taking notes feels more natural and less frustrating. She also really liked the pressure sensitivity when drawing. It makes sketching feel a lot better because the lines can be lighter or darker depending on how much pressure she uses. For class, she likes that it is thin and easy to carry around instead of having a bunch of notebooks. The size is good too because there is enough room to write comfortably without it feeling too bulky. The extra features are a nice bonus, especially the AI summary and transcription tools. For college, I can see that being really useful for lectures, study notes, and organizing ideas after class. It also being Google Play compatible makes it feel more flexible than a basic note pad style device. The only thing I would say is that there is a bit of a learning curve if you are not used to this kind of tablet, especially with all the features. It may take some time to figure out what you actually use the most. But overall, this was a great gift and she loves it for both school and drawing.
