As soon as you connect it its already assigned to the mic, even while using a BT headset, double air insulation is not needed but can be used in case of a windy location. Im using it to record my dogs for asmr and using just the black cover works great, when using both it kinda blocks the air completely. Recomendable for streaming too, since the sensitivity of the mic is great. ... show more

    • There are better lav mics available at this price point
After getting these charged up, I was excited to try them with my iPhone 15. They were packaged well and the little windscreens were a welcome inclusion. My first test, with one clipped to my collar, was okay but didn't catch much volume. It went downhill from there. The volume got super low to the point of cutting out if I turned my head or if I tested the mic a few inches further away. I might think this was acceptable at this price point, except for the fact that I have another set of lavs that cost the same. Just to make sure I was remembering correctly, I plugged those in and immediately had 3x the volume and 2x the range, with much less inconsistency in volume. I tested both of the included mics, both with and without the windscreens. The issues continued. Regrettably, the sound quality is just too inconsistent to make these useable, but at least I can use the windscreens on my other lavs. ... show more

    • Improve your phone videos!
I like this item because the receiver part that attaches to the phone doesn't need to be kept charged, it draws its power from the phone. (Which is fine but remember to keep the phone charged!) The microphones themselves have little clips so you can attach them to things where you want them, and one of the accessories they have are the little fluffy mic heads that muffle the sound of wind. The recorded sound quality with these is better than what the phone itself can do, and since they are separate mics, they can be spaced apart for more realistic stereo sound. They connected easily with their receiver on the iPhone. After a test session which went well I'm planning on doing some videos in my car which will have better sound than the phone itself can do. ... show more
