No bells and whistles, just a pad to take notes, organize folders and files, reading and writing on documents and ebooks. The price is pretty steep but not have to carry around 4 or 5 notebooks and digging through them to find something is nice.

I hesitated because of price but this product has changed my work-life for the better. As an HR representative, I struggled with organizing notes, and I take notes on EVERYTHING. The tagging feature I absolutely revolutionary for me. I can keep all of my notes in one place, in a portable, light device that I can also link to my computer. I love porting over documents to take notes on. The pen options are perfect for a wide range of uses. It stays charged for a decent amount of time considering I am using it all day every day. I didn’t bother buying an expensive ReMarkable brand cover for it, so I got an inexpensive off brand one that works perfectly. The magnet feature on the pen has helps keep it from being misplaced. The eraser feature on the pen is amazing, too. It can be very precise, which is awesome. There are a couple of features that aren’t ideal for my uses. The first is the tip on the pen. The package includes extra tips, which is great but even when I’m consciously trying to write lightly, they wear out very quickly. There are off brand pen tips on the market but haven’t tried them yet. Another feature I wish the device had was being able to move typed text around on a page. It’s more feasible in the app than on the actual device, but you can’t in real time move text to different spots in the page, which is not the end of the world but definitely frustrating.

The media could not be loaded. I’m impressed. Was hesitant after reading the reviews. I am happy I didn’t listen and got this. The product is well made, durable, simple to use, and isn’t distracting like my iPad. The tablet is lightweight and looks fantastic. The pencil feels particularly like writing on a paper surface. Love the eraser on the back and it works perfectly. I am confused why I must sign up and pay money to use the app when the device is pricey as is. So I honestly have not used the app.

I have been using this notebook for about a year now, and what a game changer. I chose to with Remarkable as they are a trusted brand and stand by their product. Writing is very realistic, and the software is great as well. The ability to access notes from anywhere is a gamechanger, along with the ability to select and move sentences and notes around on the page. The notebook templates are also a nice touch. I am beyond frustrated with Remarkable. I bought it to have a simple way to take down notes at meetings and to transcribe them for others in typed form. The tablet does work quite well in making sense of my handwriting, and putting it into text. However, it feels like we are thrown back to the very beginnings of word processing when it comes to editing the typewritten text. For example, if I type a word with a miistake in it, such as the second i you see there, I have to tap and hope I hit exactly the right spot to take out that i. God forbid you have a space between 2 words or have a hanging period . Manysentencesenduplookinglikethis too. So, what seemed like a great concept has only added more work and definitely more frustration. Unfortunately, I am also beyond my 100 day window for returning the tablet. The only thing I can use it for at this point is to write shopping lists… or somethingillcomeupwithsomething… Oh… when you try to e-mail what you have written to others and want to send them a note explaining what it is that you are sending, be VERY careful. You could type a full paragraph with one little mistake at the top and have to delete the whole thing because you cannot edit that section at all. But, go ahead. Buy it. It’s grate and I’m greatfull for this marvelous technology. UPDATE: TTP Retail went above and beyond to reach out to me and refund my purchase well beyond the return date. I encourage anyone to buy from this retailer. They were truly excellent. I still can’t recommend the Remarkable for the purpose I wanted to use it for, but the number of satisfied customers suggests it is a useful product for many.

I am going to start with the positive. I love the reMarkable 2. I changed jobs and my new role requires a ton of notes and organization of those notes. ReMarkable has made that achievable and enjoyable. The paper-like writing is unparalleled. The functions took a little getting used to, but it is pretty intuitive. I liked it so much I decided to upgrade to the paper pro. I am glad I did so. The touch screen is more responsive and I like the back light. I feel like it is a smoother experience than with the reMarkable 2. I don’t regret upgrading, but what I do regret is the price. I could have bought a laptop…a nice one. As great as it is for what it does, the price is painful especially for the fact that it doesn’t do a lot of other functions. That is why I am giving it 4 stars. Minus one for the exorbitant price. They twisted the knife when I upgraded and was charged $87 for restocking the reMarkable 2! $87! To restock it, so I could pay $200 more for the paper pro. Come on! That is a bit ridiculous. Obviously, I have paid it and I am keeping it, but a word to the wise. If you are thinking of trying it and even though you return it during your 30 day return time, you will still be out $87 for restocking and another $6 return shipping. So almost $100 to try it that you will not get back if your return it. I am sure that was somewhere in the fine print and I missed it. This is my gift to you in case you like your $100.
