I’ve been wanting a basic tablet for my 3 year old son so when I saw this one was geared towards kids I decided to get it. The tablet itself is the perfect size to fit in his hands and the case does a great job at protecting the tablet when it gets dropped. (Because we all know 3 year olds drop things) The tablet comes preinstalled with 20 different games that work for many different age groups. The Looney Tunes Phonics game is one of them and it’s excellent at teaching letters and the sounds they make. My son is around the age of learning letters and sounds so we’ve used this a few times and will continue to. A few apps he personally likes to play are ABC world, Game kids 5 and body parts for kids. (All are preinstalled on the tablet). Another great thing about this tablet is the parental controls. I honestly had to unblock a few things when I first got the tablet because so many things were blocked. The “kids corner” app is where all of the apps you want your child to use can be put into. This app is password protected so you can’t get out of it unless you use a password, so no worrying about your child getting into other things on the tablet that you don’t want them to use. You can also set a timer for how long you want your child to be on the tablet. The operating system is ok, it runs on Android 8, it’s not the fastest thing in the world so it takes patience for some of the things to load and the touch screen can be finicky at times but he’s able to play games ok. I’m not sure if I got a bad one or not but the charging cord and port are loose so I’m not sure how long the charger is going to last. The tablet can also get a little warm at times but all and all it’s a nice basic tablet. Updated 11/1/19: I have revised my review from 4 stars to 5 stars because of the excellent customer service I received about the loose charger (which actually did end up breaking after my initial review) . I emailed Contixo and told them what happened with my charger and they sent out a new one to me free of charge! ... show more

It was a bit tedious to set up at first and the battery ran out super quick, but after the first charge it works just as expected. The battery life is great now, it's lightweight, easy to use, looks nice, we love the protective cover, and it has all the games you could imagine for education. Do not buy this tablet! I originally had Amazon fire tablets for my kids but we didn't like that we couldn't download the games we had subscriptions for onto it nor youtube kids. I found these ones that had all the apps allowed we wanted but there is a huge draw back. One its extremely slow...opening the same app on my phone takes 1 to 2 minutes at most. Tablet can take 10min+ and even after the app opens it might not even still let you play anything! Not only that all the apps it says should be on the tablet to use to make a profile for your kids on the tablet are non existent. So i had to remove my pin so let them play. But the fact I have to spend 30min to an hr to get a game they want to play to run correctly is outrageous. 100% horrible tablet. Not sure if the version 10 is better but I really don't know if id risk it. ... show more

    • A solid starter tablet!
This is a good buy for the price. I'm surprised at how much it holds with just it's internal storage. For a road trip, I was able to fit 4 full length Disney movies plus about 25 episodes from my boys' favorite shows and there is still more space to fill up. Great games pre-installed for preschoolers. It's easy to set up the kids place filter which I like and it's easy to download apps from Play store. The processor is a little slow so there is a lag when jumping from screen to screen sometimes. I'm not super concerned about it because my boys won't be using these on a daily basis. The case is sturdy and tight on the tablet. I'm not a fan of the charger; on one of the tablets, the charging cable just seems off somehow... hard to explain. It takes more effort to get in than I'm used to. It comes with the AC charger and a USB cord which is nice. For our first tablets, this is a solid choice.     • Great for the price even after first one broke.
UPDATE- 1/20/20 One of the tablets from Christmas just "broke". One day it wouldn't turn on. It was just a black screen. I wrote to this company and explained the situation. Even though it was past my 30 day return mark, ( it sat in my closet the whole month of December as i bought it early for Christmas) they do tips me to return it and they would repair it if they could. About a week later i got a message from amazon that they refunded me for the tablet. No communication from the company. I guess that's not a huge deal but an email explaining it would have been ideal. I just received my new tablet and so far so good. It's not the same as the first 2 we ordered even though under amazon it says i ordered the same device twice. This one has a different screen saver and i had to download the 20 games myself instead of having them already installed. Not a huge deal though. Overall, I would probably order again. These are great tablets. I bought 2 for Christmas. Kids ages are 6&7. The games that were already installed are great for their ages. Some are a little too young, and a couple are a little challenging. But overall, it was nice having the games already installed so we could decide what types they liked/disliked. Some reviews said the tablet bogged down because of all the games installed. Ours never has. Also downloaded a movie for a long road trip and still no problems. The tablet comes with 2 types of chargers. One is a 9mm and the other is a regular cell phone charger. Both of the 9mm chargers broke within the first week. That's my only complaint though.     • Screen is weird and battery life is a joke
The overall quality of this tablet is pretty decent. My daughter loves it simply because it has enough storage for her games and pictures/videos. I love that it's android, because I can monitor the activity through my own Google account. Unfortunately that's about it when it comes to the positives. The screen is so weird on this thing. I have fixed all the settings and yet it still has this weird, almost polarized color quality to it. My biggest complaint would have to be the battery though. Straight out of the box, this thing only holds a charge for maybe 90 minutes at the most. Just the act of turning it back on after reaching a full 100% charge and waiting for load the home screen, it drops to about 95%. Plus, the battery gets really hot after only about 20 minutes of use. Needless to say, she only using it for about 15 minutes at a time and then we put it away for a while to let it rest and cool down. I wouldn't buy it again, and can't say it's really worth the price I paid. But it works for short trips to the store, or when she just wants to snap some photos or takes videos of the cat. ... show more

My youngest son goes through inexpensive tablets ; but I like this one a lot. Appears to have great quality for the price; plus it also isn't very stickler to having a email to function at the same time. It's charger is probably very strong compared to a phone charger; I would not recommend charging this with a phone charger; would be probably less stress upon the battery to use a phone charger , and slower charging , but the battery is really good and has many hours of play; overall a great little item for autism and toddlers to browse through youtube .
