I recently picked up a used ml63 and I knew I would need something to diagnose with. I had already ran into some strange issues the first month of ownership like a bad alarm siren malfunctioning and waking me up at 3am and not being able to disable it. My bluetooth obd scanner I had didn't even read the ECU in the car. I just received this unit and I can already tell its going to be very useful. It doesn't have the biggest screen or maybe isn't the most modern, but for the price it gives you a ton of information that I would not have access to. I was surprised at how it can pull in 46 different modules and how detailed the information can be. I've chased problems in the past thinking it was one thing on other cars and waste money replacing the wrong parts. I have a airmatic suspension light that comes on every once and a while and I was already able to see it relating to a speed sensor. Not something I would think could be causing a fault. I purchased this to work on a 2008 Rclass 320 CDI. The car has been great, but it, like all cars has some maintenance issues. I am a backyard mechanic. I know how to complete small repairs, but haven't torn apart a motor and I am not up to date on all the terminology. However, I was able to plug this in and read the codes in under 5 minutes. The codes are very descriptive and tell you exactly what needs to be checked or replaced. At $150 ots not a bad investment. These Mercedes can be expensive to work on and it just saved me twice the cost not having to replace parts that may or may not be the problem. The device itself is well built and came with an mini SD card, card reader, USB cable for updating and a cable to connect the device to your obd2 port. If you can't find the SD it's been pre installed in the device. Buttons are very responsive and the device itself runs fast. I can see a dealership using this device. Well worth the investment for a Mercedes owner as the last time I have my car scanned it cost $160 dollars. ... show more

Can dive dell into any Mercedes model and fix most issues. I was able to access the TPM and get my car out of limp mode. Easy to use and comes with a usb to update it. It is extremely accurate in finding problems and will show if codes have been deleted and are pending.

This is a must have for Sprinter and Mercedes owners. I have a 2005 Dodge Sprinter 3500 and I used the MBII to clear a stored code in the TCM. After I replaced the conductor plate the Sprinter van was stuck in Limp Home Mode, basically it never shifted out of 2nd. I used a standard ODBII but the CEL kept returning. After some research online on a few different platforms, the MBII came highly recommended. It was easy to use and worked like a charm. My Sprinter Van now shifts through all gears. ... show more

I bought this scanner only because I needed a scanner that could actively start a Diesel Particulate Filter regeneration on my 2009 X164 Mercedes GL320, as it was clearly advertised to be capable of doing so. Don't get me wrong it is a very nice scanner with a lot of features, but it clearly WILL NOT initiate a DPL regeneration on my car. Purchased a I recently bought an older, 2004, Mercedes. Paid for itself the first day by reading codes which directed me to a fix. It was also able to clear the codes. Stealership wanted 5 times the costs of this just to diagnose the problem. Great purchase!!
