  • Not as good as BO3

I love bo4 zombies and the different health center of two hits in your dead

  • As advertised

Received promptly and in perfect condition new, sometimes that's a dice roll with older games for collectors, you'll get a version from another region or a damaged copy, ect. Happy to say this came immaculate.

  • No campaign, no problem
Platform For Display: Xbox One Edition: Standard
Multiplayer feels great now with boots-on-the-ground gameplay. The powers for each class are well managed with each class having two powers on cooldown that feel fun, but don't dominate the gameplay enough to be more important than good gunplay. 8/10 Zombies is incredibly well done. Better than ever before with three starting maps even on the basic edition of the game. Story and RPG elements are strong, and the RUSH mode was a much needed addition. Zombies could be sold as a stand-alone game for $25 and would be a fantastic value. 10/10 Lastly, Blackout blows my mind. I haven't played more than an hour or two so far, but whoever optimized this game needs a raise. On Xbox One S it runs smooth as butter and still looks better than I expected. I cannot believe they made this mode work so well on older systems. I'm extremely excited to play more. 10/10 ... show more

  • Have not been this disappointed since COD-Ghosts
Platform For Display: Xbox One Edition: Standard
I have been playing COD online since the original Modern Warfare. There are only a few iterations since then that I have not purchased. Treyarch has always been my favorite developer since they have had better maps and weapon variety along with a user friendly UI. I always expect a bit of a learning curve when first firing up the game, but my experience with this version has been less than pleasant. I will break it down in hopes that at least some of this information will help someone make a more informed decision. So far most of what you have come to expect as far as graphics and general game mechanics has not changed significantly enough for me to cover. For everything else... Specialists - If you have played Black Ops 3 then you will be familiar with this. I did not buy nor play the 2 CODs since BO3 so I am not sure if they used Specialists in those versions as well. I have only been playing BO4 for about a week and so far they work pretty much the same as in BO3. Each specialist has a unique ability that is available based on time and successful gameplay. The change from BO3 to BO4 is the addition of 2 additional "abilities" that take the place of the RB1 and RB2 buttons (XBox). At least at the lower levels, you will have a stim ability (regardless of specialist) and then a secondary ability which I will not get into the individual specialists but some are much less useful than others based on my limited experience. This comes into play because your specialist is chosen at the beginning of each match and only 1 person from your team can use a particular specialist. I am not sure if that changes in certain game modes. I have only played TDM, Dom, hardpoint, safeguard and kill confirmed. My opinion - The Specialist feature is a fail compared to BO3. Weapons - I am only at about level 20 in MP so my choices are quite limited. In past versions of COD after getting to about level 9 or 10 I could find at least 1 gun that would give me the ability to be competitive, not the case at all in BO4. The early stage guns are insanely under-powered compared to the higher leveled guns. This is particularly important because the game has been out for 2 months so most of those playing are leveled up. In most close quarter head to head battles, I lose even when I have landed the first 1 or 2 shots. (more on that later) My opinion - Weapon choices are a fail from previous versions of COD based on lack of balance. Loadouts - This is where my biggest complaint comes in. This is a general overview which will address several issues that I have with BO4. First of all, the UI seems very clunky and not as streamlined as past versions. Slot uses are not well defined for the newer items so you have to do a little bit of research to understand the usage. Treyarch has eliminated the slots for explosives and equipment. While I was never a fan of magical grenades that appeared in previous versions, I felt as though this was completely resolved by BO3. Grenade spamming and "heat-seeking" grenades were not something that I had a problem with at all in BO3. Why did they remove this from BO4? Equipment has also been removed which really sucks too especially when you are a new player. I never had an issue with equipment being misused/glitched/overpowered. Grenades and equipment are something that can help to balance the game for lower leveled players. My opinion - This is a fail from previous versions. Maps/Spawning - I am very disappointed in Treyarch. I have always been a fan of their maps. They have had good flow along with a good mix of short-range, mid-range and long-range. I have felt that over the years spawning has gotten progressively better. It has never been perfect, but it was much worse 10 years ago. I have not had enough time to fully determine the issue with spawning on BO4, but my current thought is that most of it is caused by the small maps. These maps are not Nuketown small, but they are so small that you can get from one end to the other in about 10 seconds without even taking a straight line through. This comes into play a lot in objective game modes. For example Dom and safeguard. If you are unfamiliar with these game modes, it's possible to get spawn rushed and wiped out a couple of times in a row because the other team can be in or to your obvious spawn within a few seconds. As for the maps, I am not opposed to rehashing maps from previous versions, but I think that there are about 6 or so from previous versions in the base package. What's worse is, we have already seen at least one of these maps several times over the years. My opinion - Disappointment in Treyarch. Maps were what I thought set them apart from IW in the past. They failed on this one. Health - This I think goes hand in hand with the lack of balanced weapons in the early stages. I haven't played Battlefield since BF4, but shooting people in BO4 feels a lot like battlefield rather than COD. I am one that typically reloads after each confrontation regardless of how many shots it takes, but so far it is a definite requirement because on the off chance that I win I have expended about 75% of the clip to do so! I have yet to play hardcore since I am still getting familiar with the new maps, but I will see how things go at that point. Overall - I am far from impressed. I am glad that I bought this on a black Friday deal rather than paying full price at launch. This is the first COD that I can remember not buying on launch day. Thank goodness for that! I will still give it some more time so my review is currently 2 stars, but that could change in either direction based on further game play. If you have played a fair amount of COD over the last 10 years as I have, my guess is that you'll be disappointed too. I hope that this review helps someone make a more informed decision. ... show more

  • I have had COD BO 4 since it was released. The battle Royale concept is awesome, however
Platform For Display: Xbox One Edition: Standard
the execution is LAGGING!! I really only bought this game for the split screen action. I wanted a game I could play with my son. I have a 80 inch TV and can hardly see enemies when in split screen. The designers split the screen then cut 10 inches off both sides making the actual play screen about 1/5 your TV size. So for me it is like playing on a really short 45 inch TV. The designers constantly nerfed various guns throughout the first 12 months of owning this game. The medal-ling constantly changed the sighting and dynamics making it almost impossible to find a gun that gave a little advantage. The little zombie hallways and tiny rooms make for a horrible zombie map also. The developers seem to be trying to write this game for the 1% supper nerds who win it. Instead they should make it playable and fun for the 99% who do not spend 100 hours a week playing it. It is ok to camp, it is ok to run and gun, it is ok to do anything that gives you an edge. It is not ok to design a "GAME" where there is no advantage other than extreme reflex speeds and eagle eye pixel vision. This is why games like FORTnight come into the market and rule. Even though I hate cartoon, fantasy games. One of the best 1st person shooter games I ever played was COD World War 2 (even though shooting grease guns can get old)!! Please do a cod world war 3 with battle royale and cowboy map. Or just develop a cowboy battle royale with six shooters, canons, lever actions. This way you do not have to nurf the guns constantly. ... show more
