    • Installation Tip (UPDATE)
When I inserted this in my CD player, the overhang from the dashboard did not allow me to turn the tightening screw. My solution was to simply flip the device over and insert it pointing down instead of up. Problem solved. UPDATE: As it turned out, flipping the CD mount caused my after-market navigation display to obscure my backup camera. This was not acceptable. The SOLUTION: "Discard" the bolt down screw that came with the CD holder and replace it with a shorter 1/2" 6 mm screw I bought from my local Lowes. The bolt was short enough for me to insert the CD holder as originally intended (bolt side up) and tighten it down (with a needle nose pliers). As to the durability of the product, I will update this review in the next several months to let you know how it goes. THREE MONTHS LATER... Working fantastic... no issues !!!! ... show more

For me and my vehicle, the CD slot mount is much better than mounting the phone holder on the air vents. This is a sold and sturdy mount that I am using with a magnetic wireless charging mount that I purchased here on Amazon. The mount I purchased came with a different mount and this one is perfectly compatible with it using the ball mount. The size and fit was perfect and just like the other one I had. It fits tightly in the cd slot however it blocks the view to the clock and menu. I wound up mounting it above between the trim and it works awesome.
