I am adding an update to this review (9/14/2023) to add positive feedback! AS I mentioned previously, I have been dealing with a single CSR who has been one of the best I have ever worked with. His name is Rolin. He has been dedicated to making amends for the problems we had experiences. He sent two of the new windshield mounts, one for my wife and one for me. The silicone and coating of the suction cup are new and will not dissolve and cause a gooey mess on the windshield. He checks-in almost daily to see if the products are working as he described and promised. To be honest, if there were more CSR's like Rolin in the numerous businesses that consumers have to deal with on a daily business, our lives would be a bit easier and somewhat more pleasant I believe. If you have a problem with a Torras product, see if you can ask for Rolin when you contact Torras Support! Most of us have had a VERY hot summer. Here in Southeast Florida we "cooked" here for nearly two months straight. The photo is the suction cup from my wife's Torras phone mount. Mine looks identical. Whatever the adhesive, the hot Florida sun basically melted the suction cup lining and we wound up with two holders that won't stick and two windshields with a gooey mess. However, Torras Support has been excellent. They are taking "ownership" of the faulty product and replacing one (if not two, since my wife's is bad as well) at no charge. If you have a similar problem, you can contact Torras Support and they will help you. I just received an email from Rolin, and he has shipped a new as of today. I believe that there is a major time difference between EDT and where Torras is located, however Rolin has been in touch on a regular basis. All in all, it's a very good product. Wanted a sturdy phone holder this is great for that! Only thing is we had to super glue it to the dashboard because it wouldn’t stay even after leaving it on for the recommended time but other than that works amazing will likely order for other vehicles as well!

Since I live in southern Arizona, and reading some of the other reviews, I decided to use the air vent clip instead of the suction cup. Also, I keep my phone in a wallet and just tested it out going up and down the road using my Google Maps app looking for a business. And it worked perfectly.! Held the phone sturdy and I was able to drive safely and be able to look over at my phone for directions if I needed to. Very easy to put together, and just remember to push the button on the back to release the side arm clamps. Highly recommend. In our state we cannot have anything but a turnpike transponder on the windshield or blocking the view of the windshield (the transponder is relegated to three locations, LOL). So attaching this to the dash or the windshield was out of the question. I have circular vents which we out but I had the perfect spot picked out using the disk except the phone would not fit there (it's a large dash in a smallish car (G6). Sigh. Plan B also failed because of the size of my phone (Samsung A52). Dash is textured and curve in more places that I realized. Found one spot that may work and I placed the disk. But then I found a section of the console that was smooth, attached the suction cup and it held!!! Played with the angle of the phone and it now sits right next to the gear shift just a little bit higher. Doesn't block the radio, he AC or heat vents, the controls, is lower than the dash (state requirement) and the phone is in a great position. Will leave the disk on the dash in case I have end up in that position, but I love where it is! Very sturdy product (except for the nut on the vent mount which is broken - but I won't be using it anyway). Lord knows I had it together and apart enough times in placing it, LOL! Will update if it falls short over time, but I really am glad I bought this one! ... show more
