Overall this product works, it's pretty well engineered. I had never looked at a product like this before. But once the hands-free law came into affect, I turned to one of these little devices. I’ve had it for quite a while now. It has never come loose from the dashboard. It holds my phone perfectly. It’s so easy when it releases the phone from the product. The arm does hold the phone in place quite well. After driving for an hour or over some areas where there is a bumpy road the vibrations do cause the phone holding arms to slip down a tiny bit.     • Increased Driving Safety But Rattles When Not In Use

My job requires me to drive approximately 60-80 miles daily on average. I bought this to help keep me safer when I drive since I have an older Toyota that has ZERO bells or whistles. Installation was tricky because it wouldn't stick to the surface of my car at first, even though it was clean. But I eventually got it to stick, and it's been there for 6+ months. I've never had to worry about my phone falling out. My personal phone is an iPhone 11 Pro Max, and it does fit but causes it to tip downwards. My work phone is an iPhone 14, and since it's smaller and lighter than my phone, it doesn't tilt downwards unless I'm on a bumpy road. The only part of this device I don't like is when there isn't a phone in the holder; it rattles! No matter what I do, it rattles, and the only solution I have found is to put a phone in there, even if I'm not using it for directions. This could be because of where it's placed on my car (in the middle, pointed towards the driver's seat) or because of my car or if that's just how this phone holder is. This holder was exactly what I needed to hold my phone.. I have it mounted in the counsil area of my truck. The adjustable arm and movable head allow for an unobstructed vies of the phone, as well as being within easy reach. Even with the aarm extended the holder is very steady and my phone stays secure. I believe that I actually bought something that was worth the price paid. The suction is great and the base pad has a very sticky adheasive for a very good mount. It was easy to install. It works, for the most part. There is something very weird about the suction cup. It is covered with a very sticky substance, which is impossible to remove. Strangely, when you get it wet, the cup becomes smooth and the stickiness goes away, but only until it dries. The biggest negative is how difficult it is to remove this contraption. The tiny little handle on the side of the rubber (or silicone?) doesn't give you enough of a hold to pull it off easily. I've had to pull with all my might, and even slip a butter knife under the suction cup to get it off the metal surface of my desk. Once in place, it does what it's supposed to do. The surface has a fake "carbon fiber" pattern on it that's pretty ridiculous, 'cause it's easy to tell that this is made of inexpensive plastic. ... show more

The build is robust and easy to operate. I use the suction cup to the windshield. If one wants to use the supplied 3M dash mount disk, one the disk is applied to the dash, it is "very difficult" to remove; in a word - permanent.
