  • I couldn't be happier with this instrument
I never really considered buying an Ibanez ukulele before. The brand isn't exactly known for their ukes, and they don't have a wide assortment to choose from. But as it turns out, they don't need a wide assortment. What few they make, they make well. I have three other ukuleles, and ever since this one arrived, I just keep going back to it. Right out of the box, this ukulele looked and felt like a much more expensive instrument than it is. When you factor in the warm sound, solid action and tight tuning, I really believe it would still be a good value at twice the price. If you're a beginner or intermediate player and you're looking for a tenor ukulele, I don't think you could do better in this price range. ... show more

  • I've been playing on and off for about a dozen years and this is an all around awesome tenor ukulele
My new go to. I've been playing on and off for about a dozen years and this is an all around awesome tenor ukulele. I had a Luna Tribal tenor which I sold, and I still have a Fender tenor and an Oscar Schmidt tenor but the Ibanez is what I'm playing more often than not. The radius fret board is noticeable if you're switching between instruments but I'm still on the fence as to its worth. This uke has a wide nut at 38mm which I've come to love. Both my Fender and OS have the same and I have above average sized hands. But it plays like a dream, sounds amazing and although subjective, looks and feels the part as well. Good job Ibanez. Highly recommended. ... show more

  • looks cool , sounds beautiful, good quality,
Perfect tenor ukulele, love it. Good size, looks cool, sounds beautiful, good quality, good peice. I have an ibanez guitar and now this ukulele. Both my ibanez products have those qualities. I had been playing a soprano ukulele for fun for years. Someone bought me an expensive tenor ukulele as a surprise gift. I didn't like how it looked or felt. But was grateful. I didn't know what to expect in finding a decent ukulele at a good cost. I found this one and it is perfect. ... show more

  • Plastic nut and saddle
I could not find this information anywhere so here you go, the nut and saddle are both plastic. That was a bit of a disappointment for me. Over all it's a pretty good begginer ukulele.

  • Good value, well made Uke, but some things missed the mark
Ibanez is an established guitar brand and this Uke has a nice straight neck with a truss rod. Although this is not a bad buy for the money, there were some disappointments. 1. The thin body produces a thin sound. 2. The tuners were loose and 3. the saddle was not set high enough to play cleanly. • Quality product!!!
This is the electric/acoustic version (stated if you understand the part numbers) but not in the description when I ordered, so I was pleasantly surprised as the electronics have a built in tuner. Product was strung loose so all I had to do was bring it up to pitch and start playing. Instructions even give you six or seven of the most popular chord diagrams so if you ever played guitar or piano and know the chord changes you can play a bunch of songs right out of the box. Sound is very good, and it's a good looking well built uke. I have an Ibanez classical guitar and an Ibanez hollow body electric so I was expecting a good quality instrument and I got it. ... show more

  • Nice Ukulele. GREAT starter.
I am only a novice player. I've been learning on a soprano uke. I'm a big guy at 6',5" with big hands. The soprano is actually a little small and so I thought I'd bump up to a larger size. So glad I did! This ukulele seems well made - all the joints and seams are good. It has a matte finish and looks nice. I have read about " set ups" on instruments and was a little concerned about playability. I have found zero problems. When you give it a strum, the sustain is wonderful. If you're looking for a good ukulele that won't set you back hundreds of dollars, give this one a lot of consideration. ... show more
