Description

A throwback to a simpler era, the Ibanez B300 5-string banjo harkens back to a time before countless hair bands put Ibanez on the map as a premier maker of metal weaponry. Yes, Ibanez was a highly respected banjo manufacturer, and even collaborated on a signature model with the late, great Earl Scruggs. Ibanez is back in the banjo biz. The B300 sports a basswood block rim, a rolled tone ring, and a toneful walnut resonator. The smooth-playing neck, with its special acrylic fingerboard inlay, also benefits from Ibanez's considerable experience in designing shredtastic guitars. • Nice instrument
Very nice, I am just learning

  • Long time awaiting
50 years ago I bought my first banjo. Living in Okinawa. No one knew how to play back then especially in Okinawa. I finally decided, I'm going back to my roots and I bought this banjo. Nice banjo, put together very well, looks beautiful. But the big but, it doesn't have the bluegrass twang sound. Don't get me wrong, it is a very nice instrument. Load , bit up the neck a little flat. In tune but flat. I'm going to take it in for a major setup maybe this will help the sound I'm looking for. Until then I jumped into a higher end banjo and man what difference. If you know your committed to learning the banjo, save your money and purchase a higher end instrument. Banjobenclark out of Tennessee is where I went to get the answers to my questions. Not to mention a fantastic instrument. ... show more

  • Sounds great, looks AMAZING.
Absolutely stunning to look at and a joy to play. Strings are tight and resonance is outstanding. One of the most beautiful banjos I've seen. The inlay is incredible.
