I have been very pleased with this small propane heater. Assembly was straight forward and easy. The heater is roughly about 37" - 38" tall. I usually keep mine on a small table under my patio as it disburses the heat better I think. Taller models wouldn't have worked for my use. I like to sit out there, smoke a cigar, and watch TV. (mostly sports and news - heh!) The first time firing it up it took some patience to purge the air I guess. However, I did get it going and now it lights right up whenever I need it.

The units came and worked well, I would not use for anything under 50 degrees. They do not singularly put out enough heat. I had two on a 8 ft table and it put enough heat out to keep you warm above 50 but anything under they seemed to struggle. They use the little canisters pretty quick. So I'd recommend getting a 5 gallon tank and hose. They have a hole in the bottom of the unit for this.

Bought this for our patio for family gathering, you had to stand right up next to it to feel any hot air coming out and it wasn't much....AND to add insult to injury now I have to pay the freight to return it, what a bunch of !!!!

We bought this for our outdoor party. We went through 3 of the small propane canisters in 3 hours. Unfortunately we didn’t have enough canisters to last the evening. It did put out enough heat for a chilly evening but I’m not sure it would be effective for a colder night or for any length of time.
