This is a tiny air pump with plenty of power. It's quiet, easy to carry if you're someone who occasionally travels with fish, and has multiple mounting options. The bubbles it puts out make more noise than the pump does. It is THAT quiet. This is a perfect little pump to run a sponge filter for a small tank, keep some air flowing on a show tank in a competition, or attach to a bucket when you're hauling fish to an auction or show. I also own a Cobalt Phantom. Comparing the two, I like the mounting options on this one better - the clip works great for a bucket, rounded container, or rimless tank, whereas the Cobalt will only stick to a flat surface. The suction cup that came with this also seems to stick better than the suction cup on my Cobalt Phantom. Air output, cord length, and noise level are similar, but I find this pump to be somewhat more versatile because of the mounting options. The only thing I'd change about it is the cord length. 4-6 feet would be better and it would also be AWESOME to have a USB connection that would allow it to be plugged into a vehicle outlet (cigarette lighter style) for long trips, considering its easily portable size.

I first ordered the black one and loved it. It is extremely quiet, but does produce a weird sound a few times a minute. A few days later I ordered a 2nd one, which is white. The white one doesn’t make the same weird sound, but it is also very quiet and that is a big plus for me. The package contains the air pump, about 5-6 ft of airline, a double side suction cup, a bracket, and an air stone. The bracket doesn’t fit a typical rim tank such as marine land / aqueon, etc but will fit a rim less tank so I use the suction cup. It’s double sided so one cup sucks to the back of the air pump and the other side to the tank. The suction cup is great quality and sticks on very well, and has yet to fall off. The air stone produces bigger bubbles, but I don’t use it as I’m using the pump with a small sponge filter. I wouldn’t consider the bubble stream “strong”, but it’s perfect for my 2.5 gallon fry tank. I would use this pump in a 5 gallon tank and at most, up to a 10 but no larger. Although I would’ve preferred to pay less for this unit, overall it’s a great item and I’m very happy with it. The only thing now is to find out it’s long term durability.

I bought the Hygger mini pump to hang on the back of my 15 gallon Fluval Flex tank. So far I am totally impressed! It fits perfectly in its clip in the small opening on the back of the tank, it’s quiet and it’s not too strong for my Betta tank. I currently have it plugged into a air strip but will be adding a splitter and a second strip to have a double air bubble wall. This is the perfect little air pump to connect a sponge filter to.

The media could not be loaded. I’m using this air pump to add oxygen to my fish bowl. Not even 20 minutes after turning on the pump (after I soaked the air stone alone for an hour), my goldfish were 100 times happier than what they had been. It has been an hour now since I put the pump in the water, and they are still swimming around super happy. The pump was an easy setup, and honestly the sound of the bubbles at the surface of the water is louder than the humming of the pump. (See video). I’m very happy with this purchase!

This little Hygger air pump is great! Silently pushes out several bubbles a sec. but gently enough not to startle the fish yet it keeps a bit of movement in the nano. The pump sits perfectly on the side of the nano tank with a clip. As seen in the picture the suction cup did not stick, but the clip works great. The pump can be easily removed from the clip. The pump does not make noise like other pumps...no annoying vibrating noise. The bubbles pop outside of the tank but its not enough to wet the light that’s 2” above the open tank. I would recommend this product because it gives a lot of oxygen for my Asian stone catfish in this 8g tank that really only hold 6g. This product also came with a hose, clip, suction cup, and air stone. The cord is nice and long over 2ft long. It’s pricy for $15.99.

I raise lots of fry, and there is always a balance between keeping them safe, and keeping their water fresh. Breeder boxes and nets don’t allow for great water circulation, and I wa spooking for an inexpensive way to add oxygen to their water when needed. I couldn’t be happier with this mini bubbler/air pump. The tubing is not conventional feeling, it is soft and not prone to kinking. The motor itself is actually quite quiet too. Normally, I have a spider web of air tubing and pumps running, but this will greatly simplify my life while raising babies, or isolating fish. I’m thrilled to be able to move the breeder net further from my sponge filters in my grow out tank and achieve a good balance of well oxygenated water!
