I am a die hard Sthil person. Sold on Sthil. I have always placed husqvarna As a Micky Mouse chainsaw. A Chinese special. Bottom of the barrel. Hey, I have got to tell the truth to be honest. My Sthil 210 that I have had for 21 years stopped oiling the other day11/16/23. The shop said it would be 11/23/23 before they could get to it. I could not wait that long. I had fire wood to cut. So, I ordered a Husquvarna 450 with a 20 inch bar. Gases it up, oiled it up, primed it up, and pulled the rope 3 times and it popped of. Put it into an 18” log and had a big surprise. It amazed me at how fast it cut through. It made short work of all the logs. The pictures are what was left ( Half of them have already been cut) when my Sthil messed up. The first time I used it the chain came off after approximately 30 minutes of use. Yes I checked the chain tension a couple of times before it came off. Prior to using it the second time I double checked the chain tension and it was fine. When I started it the chain wouldn’t turn. I loosened the cover slightly which seemed to remedy the problem. However, the bar wobbled. Tightened it again with the same problem, chain wouldn’t turn. Now it smokes. I was happier with my 16 inch Craftsman. ... show more

best overall saw you can get. im talking about the 450 rancher x-torq. im 71 and been cutting trees since i was 18 and i love this saw. i already have one but bought another just in case they quit this model. i have a 32" dolmar, 28" dolmar, 24" husky and now these 2 450's. they are my go to saw for smaller jobs easy start and light weight. trust me you will love it. ... show more

Got this to clean up a tree that fell through our fence. Husqvarna is known for their quality chain saws. This is a heavy and well made saw for someone who knows how to use a chainsaw. Not for beginners without some training. You also need to be pretty strong to use it. As a beginner who enjoys puttering in the garden, I found that it was too much for me. I am more comfortable with my smaller electric branch trimmer and cutting things under four or five inches across. However, as some of the other reviewers who know their way around cutting larger trees have stated, this is a strong and well built saw. We ended up having our gardeners chainsaw the tree since they were familiar with bigger jobs and using saws like this one. Tree is gone, and we are happy.
