This protein alone with 8 ounces of water is very thick and kind of gritty. It doesn’t taste bad it’s just really thick. I actually mix a scoop of this with a scoop of chocolate whey isolate. That way I get fast & slow acting protein and the whey isolate really helps the consistency and texture of this protein substantially, making a good tasting shake. The cow on the label is kind of weird. It’s a little on the expensive side but nowhere near Biotest’s prices.

This stuff seems to be a good deal to me. Cost was in line or better than my other Casein Protein options, and as long as you believe the packaging/claims pretty good ingredient quality. The flavor is notable a slightly chaulky chocolate milkshake. The chaulky-ness and not super strength of Chocolate make me wish I could do half stars on the Flavor (as in 4.5/5), because let's be frank there's always some downgrade in flavor on a protein shake. But realistically it tastes better than many (maybe even most) others. Similarly, I wish I could deduct only a half star from the overall rating, because the only thing I really am not fond of so far is the sort of "Foam" level after shaking it up. This stuff foams up big time in my shaker, and I find myself going back to the cup just for what's left of the foamy portion for quite a while after. But that's a minor issue, and easily solvable with a quick rinse of water on the last sips. Overall the stuff is great though. And I'll admit I have a soft spot for the Highland Cow on the packaging, lol.

The monk fruit and stevia makes this way too sweet. I had one sip and had to throw out the rest. Also, I ordered the vanilla bean and it didn’t taste like vanilla- only tasted like a sweet drink of something but not vanilla.
