I have a few minor quibbles, but they are overshadowed by the fact that this thing is a straight beast. The small complaints I have are that the protective guard came off in the first 10 minutes while I was operating it and kind of ate itself. The front plastic plate with the ID/model label was also broken off in the box. The blade guard was fixable, but the front cover was broken off at the screw bosses, so it was not fixable; but it’s essentially useless anyway. I bought this to clear a canyon of brush and weeds. It can easily cut through 1/2” brush, and even 1” branches with a couple of passes. It is equally adept at cutting grass and weeds. The best thing about it though, is how easy it starts, and it idles happily without any goosing, which is more than I can say for my standard string trimmer. ... show more

Great weedeater. It started the first time and we followed recommended break in precautions. The strap to help balance to me is very helpful due to the length and overall use of this equipment. Powerful, very well built, does a great job as expected from Husqvarna which makes high quality equipment. Starts ok. Follow directions. If it says to pump 10 times, pump 10 times and adjust the choke as directed.

    • Struggling to get it started. Convenient with brush blade and a strong head.
I had issues with the first one I ordered. It was already used and had oil and gas in it. I called and customer service was great. They sent me a new one and it works pretty good. It's nice to have the two options for brush blade or string cutting head. I ordered a different handle to replace the smaller one that came with it. The original handle would work for a man but I'm a 65 year old woman with smaller arms so the longer handle helps. Good quality. Runs great. Easy to start. Update 4/20/2026 After using it for several weeks it is becoming harder to start. I'm still following the instructions that came with it but it's taking at least 8 pulls to get it started.     • It cuts brush and small trees lest than an inch and a half.
This is not the most powerful of the Husqvarna line of brush cutters but it works well for residenial areas that have growth around homes and gardens.

As I was trying to change the pre-installed blade to the trimmer head, a bolt on the drive shaft broke off. It runs, but will not spin the trimmer head. I also am now unable to remove the trimmer head. The manual is absolutely no help either. I wish I had noticed the "non-returnable" part before I ordered this junk. ... show more

    • All Around Fantastic Brush Cutter
Husqvarna products are always high quality, and this is no different. I was slightly concerned because the engine is smaller than many others, but I didn’t need to worry. This thing cuts through everything in its path without issue. I really love the solid blade for cutting through blackberries and for the tall bamboo type grass around our property. I did find that it starts as easy as advertised. Two pulls the first time and it was running. It probably would have been one pull if I had primed it better.
