HP LaserJet Pro MFP 4101 fdwe This new printer does not work. It requires that the printer have its own internet connection in order to be installed. It is not reasonable and that requirement was not disclosed clearly in the description of the product being sold. This printer is poorly designed. Avoid printers that have the letter e at the end of the model number. That appears to indicate that the printer must have its own internet connection, separate from the computer. I called customer service to see if they could make the printer work without having its own internet connection. The were not open on a work night in the California time zone. I called them again during the next business day. The person I talked to said she was not able to help. She said someone might call me back in a couple days. No one ever contacted me about a repair. ... show more

    • HP will shut down your equipment if you don't use their licenses products
Do NOT buy this printer if you don't plan on paying $300 for their toner. If you do not keep it connected to HP's network so they can babysit your activity - they shut down your printer and you can't use it. They remotely shut down the printer because I used an off brand ink. I missed out on $300 of work because they shut down my printer. Shady shady business. Ridiculous business model. WIll not buy HP EVER again. ... show more
