I use one of these every day at work and it is a beast. It does everything it needs to do and aside from changing toners, it will probably out live me. Why did I buy this? I was tired of paying $100.00 dollars every time my fancy inkjet printer needed ink, and I hardly need to print in color. What I needed was a fast and efficient and dependable printer. "They" (HP) says this is not recommended for home use. I disagree, its perfect for my home. The document feeder is great, and unless you are putting in ultra thin paper it works great. We abuse ours at work and it just takes it. I was wondering how this would work with "Compatible" toner cartridges, but so far so good. This printer will scan in very good quality and in color, so this is perfect for every day scanning and scanning to email! This is one of the reasons why I wanted this high quality printer. It faxes, sends document through email, and prints up to 42 PPM. Now I can use my color printer for pictures and not routine printing. I can even teach my wife how to use this and I'll never need to hear her say... "will you send me this picture or email these documents" ever again! Last comment... If you are concerned about getting this as a refurbished unit, I was a little, but no worries. It looks like brand new. It was extremely well packaged so no problems there. Just expect a longer than normal delivery window. Expect twice as long, and maybe you will be shorter. I was not concerned about the delays, as this was the right price, and now I have a workhorse to use at home and at work. ... show more
