Brand-New Printer Rejects Generic Ink, Then HP Wants Money for Tech Support
I purchased this HP DeskJet 4355 brand new. I expected to own a printer. Apparently, what I actually purchased was permission to use a printer under HP’s terms. The printer will not accept the generic replacement cartridges I purchased. It displays a cartridge error and simply refuses to print. Nowhere in the Amazon listing when I purchased this printer did I see a clear, prominent warning that purchasing this printer could restrict my ability to use third-party replacement ink cartridges. That alone would earn a terrible review, but HP managed to make the experience worse. I called HP technical support because this is a BRAND-NEW printer that will not print. Instead of simply providing warranty technical support for their new product, I was told I would have to PAY A SERVICE FEE for technical support. Seriously? I paid for the printer. I paid for replacement cartridges. The printer decides which cartridges I am permitted to use, refuses to print with the ones I purchased, and then HP wants additional money to help troubleshoot the brand-new printer. Had the product listing plainly stated something like “THIS PRINTER MAY REQUIRE HP-BRANDED INK AND MAY REJECT THIRD-PARTY CARTRIDGES,” I would not have purchased it. Consumers should be able to make that decision BEFORE buying the printer, not discover it afterward when the machine refuses to print. A $69.99 printer isn't a bargain when the manufacturer can dictate what replacement ink you purchase and then wants to charge you for technical support when the printer won't work. One star. I would not purchase this printer again, and I would strongly recommend that anyone considering it investigate HP's cartridge restrictions before buying.

Absolutely Fantastic
This printer is perfect and totally meets my needs. It was very simple to set up using the HP app. I scanned pictures and everything went well. The delivery was excellent! It arrived on my doorstep 3 hrs after ordering. I’m a happy customer.

Good printer
This is a very good printer for the price. I’m extremely pleased putting in the ink cartridges takes a little squatting down and looking in but other than that it prints great the Wi-Fi great

I have not owned enough printers for a good comparison
It's okay. I just have difficulty getting used to it. It does not come with instructions. the printer randomly spits them out. Thankfully I already have a HP account or set up would be night mare.

Cheap and lousy printer
If I could have given this crappy printer 0 stars, I would have. It will not print double sided (there isn’t even that option in the properties) and it will not print envelopes. The envelopes jam even though they are lined up correctly to the right. But then when the paper button is pushed, they feed through. This is the worst printer I have ever bought and I regret buying it. No wonder it was less expensive than other printers.

Great printer!, check compatibility before purchasing
I really like this printer, it's useful for everything I need plus the cartridge service is awesome!. The only issue I have is that it's not compatible with a Dell Chromebook laptop, but I am able to print from my cell phone.

Disappointed.
The connection on this unit is very horrible, takes forever to connect wifi. It takes forever to connect my phone and for some reason, my h p laptop does not recognize this unit
