  • Ok, so it's a printer from the 90's but it is most reliable, jam free printer around.
One of the best, fastest and most reliable printers you can get. Inexpensive to run, each toner cartridge has lasted about two years. If you are a little tech savvy, you can make it wireless with a wireless net extender. I have it hooked up with a centronics cable. May need some older cables to use, but they are not hard to find. ... show more

  • HP LaserJet 6MP
A must have 600 dpi printer for anyone who is using a Mac or PC computer that has an older operating system.

  • Workhorse
I bought mine in the late 90s, and it's still going strong. It's my main printer, and gets a lot of use. The fact that it doesn't do duplex printing is annoying. Printing the even pages, and then inserting the printed pages to run the odd pages on the back doesn't work, as the feeding mechanism will very often grab more than one sheet at a time from the front tray. I did have to replace the internal feeding bar at the back, as it was broken, but the part was pretty cheap from HP. I also have to upgrade the memory, so it could print modern pdfs. I also had to buy the adapter cable for USB. Parts have started to break, as it is now 20 years old, but it keeps plugging along. Overall, it was a good purchase. It has done its job for over two decades, which I don't think many printer would be able to do. ... show more

  • Awesome printer, a 30lb indestructable workhorse
This printer is heavy duty, industrial strength. These were built to last back in the 1990s, with really solid construction. The only problem is that they require a special converter cable to connect to a modern USB port. That cable is sold on Amazon: Tripp Lite U206-006-R USB to IEEE Gold Parallel Printer Adapter Cable USB A/C36M - 6ft Other cheaper cables that I have tried just don't work. With a large memory, full PostScript functionality, 600dpi and a straight paper path capability, these babies just blow away the modern printers. They are heavy, solid and have a large footprint, 16"x18" of table space. These printers cost about $2500 when new, and they just never get old. One of mine has a 93,000+ page count and it just keeps chugging along! ... show more
