This mobility scooter is well made. I waited a few days to order it and saved money on it. It was on Sale for Mother’s Day. It was easy to put it together. The turn radius is not as easy as some I’ve used in the past. This one makes wide turns, but I’m sure I’ll get use to that. The scooter comes in Red, Blue and Black. I see so many red ones I decided to get the blue one.

This scooter has been ideal for my father with his limited mobility. He uses a cane and isn’t able to walk far distances with it. He wanted to have the ability to still get out to run his errands. This has been the prefect solution. The battery on this scooter comes with a charging cord, it charges quickly, and the charge lasts for a long time. The battery can be removed easily with out any tools. It can be easily carried and can be charged any where. It allows you to travel for about 12 miles before it needs to be charged again. This scooter is well made and has a strong motor. It can easily handle a 10 degree incline, gravell, and has a 330 pound person weight limit. The large tires allow for a smooth, worry free, stable ride on various surfaces and turns. The seat is extra wide and has a thick, comfortable cushion. The seat can also be rotated 360 degrees around and the arm rests can be lifted up to allow a person to get in and out easily from either side. This scooter user friendly. On the easy to read control panel, you can easily monitor the battery leverl. There is also a switch to turn on a bright LED head light in the front, as well as a horn, and a speed setting dial to adjust down to slow at a walking pace or up to a faster, running pace. The throttles are located on the handle bar. The right hand is to go forward and left hand is to go backward. If you barely squeeze, you will go slower and fully squeezed in you go faster, and not squeezing either makes you stop. The horn makes a beeping noise to alert people when you are backing up. This scooter was easy to assemble in about 15 mintues and includes an instruction manual and all of the tools needed to put it together. It’s also easy to disasseble into lighter parts (basket, removeable seat, detachable battery) for transport so you can easily take it with you anywhere. The handle bar and the back of the seat can both fold down to allow it to easily pack in to the trunk. It’s perfect for running errands, visiting friends and neighbors, parks, going around the block, shopping, and for travel. You can take your mobility with you anywhere. The thought of having to get a wheel chair made my dad depressed as it’s “medical” looking. His words. This scooter has been perfect for him. It’s been wonderful watching him light up as he gets around on his beautiful red scooter. It is sleek and far from boring and “medical”. This scooter is amazing for the confidence, freedom, and the independence that it empowers for seniors, those who are disabled, and patients who might be recovering from sickness, injury, or surgery.

Recently purchased the Hoverfly T4 Mobility Scooter for my father, and overall we are very satisfied with the performance. In our family, safety and reliability are very important, especially for elders, so we took time to compare many options before choosing this one. The scooter is quite stable and easy to operate. My father learned how to use it very quickly, even though he is not very familiar with new technology. The controls are simple and responsive, which gives us peace of mind when he goes outside alone. Battery life is seems good. It can last for several trips around the neighborhood without needing frequent charging. This is very convenient, especially for daily use like going to the park or nearby store. The seat is comfortable, and the ride feels smooth even on slightly uneven ground. The seat is comfy still on rough pavements One thing we appreciate is the compact design. It is not too bulky, so it can be stored easily and transported when needed. Assembly was straightforward, and the instructions were clear. If I have one small suggestion, it would be to improve the turning radius a bit, as it can feel slightly tight in smaller indoor spaces. But for outdoor use, it performs very well. Overall, this scooter provides good value for the price. It gives independence to seniors while also giving family members confidence in their safety.

I chose 1 star because it won’t let me do no stars at all. I just received my Hoverfly scooter from Amazon yesterday and I am really disappointed. The directions for putting it together are basically useless and very poorly explained. We got it together mostly by guessing. It is extremely jerky to ride, there is very little room for your feet, the seat is hard, and it has a very poor turning radius, making it impossible to turn without having to do “y-turns.” Worst of all you cannot turn off the REALLY LOUD high pitched backup signal. Having to do y-turns just to get around the house or out to the garage, much less simply needing to back up, means it’s beeping all of the time. And I’m not kidding, it’s really loud! I would not recommend this scooter and now I need to figure out how to return it. It’s not worth the cost, that is for sure.

I received the T5 four days ago. Assembled in 20 minutes - could not have been easier! Read the manual first, it will save you time! Gone on a one hour to two hour ride each day. Took about 25 minutes for me to grow comfortable as the driver. The sidewalks around here (Boston suburb, 25 miles west) are not in the best of condition which calls for a lot of very slow driving. The T5, I find, is amazing. I have only two things I would change 1. the basket is too small to be of much use (no big deal, really) 2. The plug in for charging is in a horrible place (both places in fact). They require me to kneel on the ground. Getting down isn't so bad but getting up with my legs! Not so easy. Small complaints. Some questions, a) can the battery be charged a little? (drive to supermarket, 5 miles and charge the T5 while I shop (1 hour)? b) When I stop at a traffic lite, I turn the T5 off and turn it back on when the walk sign comes on. Doing this has brought the electric power reader to go from whatever it is back to full (5). Why? This is a quite technical question, I know. To summarize: very easy to assemble, seat etc. easy to adjust, runs very well, high setting truly moves (I rarely run it higher than half power and often down to 1/3 power), seat is very comfortable - as is the machine in full (I weigh 190 pounds and am 5'8" (I know way too heavy). A real concern I had when looking at scooters was comfort since I would be driving for hours - weather permitting! The T5 couldn't be more comfortable. Thinking about bringing a spare battery to increase distance. Don't know if this is possible. Right now a cane holder is a must get (too bad I can't fit my rollator!). 4 days is too short a time to truly know the machine. I hope to follow up this review after a couple of months. It has been months and a lot of miles! Like the T5 but don't love it. I am learning some of its challenges. Distance - claim 16 miles. Two trips of 9 miles round trip with a one hour break after 4.5 miles. Both times the Hoverfly T5 ran out of juice after 8 miles. Managed to squeeze half a mile additional by resting for 10 minutes and driving 29 feet on the residual power. Had to push the T5 the last1/2 mile. Easy to push if you have a good back. I don't but got it home. Speed during the 9 mile trips was 1/2 power. Time to drive 4 1/2 miles 2 hours. Another lesson I learned concerns the wheels. Solid tires No. Inflatable tires Yes. The sidewalks around here are just in such poor condition things were being thrown out of the basket. One 4 mile trip with stop at 2 miles, resulted in driving home in snow! Didn't know - but should have - T5 = no traction in snow. Another 4 mile trip resulted in a 2 hour "rest" period which resulted in my driving home in the dark. Better lights were needed. Ask the drivers, they'll you! I am out running errands and taking rides every day there isn't snow on the sidewalks. I trust my T5 and really like it but the 6 mile limit per charging is a serious drawback. As for chatting with the manufacturer, I can't figure out how to contact them except through snail mail. So that's my update. Still like it but 8 miles per round trip are too few. Supermarkets let me charge the T5 while shopping. But can't walk well enough! Now if a rollator would fit on the T5 ...

I'm a big person with long legs but I'm not that big. I'm only 5'8“. The seat is so low and so tiny that my legs are crunched up and my back hurts riding it. The foot rest area is way too close to the seat, and the floor is too short for adult feet. The foot rest is at a weird angle. You don't put your feet at that angle unless they are extended out in front of you, and you can't do that with this. It's also really heavy. I guess it's probably sturdy. It goes fast and smooth and is able to go over bumps on the sidewalk and up and down hills. Seems like it probably has a good battery life. If I can't find a bigger seat and some kind of leg rests, I'm gonna return it unfortunately. I really don't like returning things this size. Edit: I bought a Ticsea universal forklift seat with adjustable mounting underneath and it fixed the comfort problem. It's even heavier now, but it's comfortable.
