  • A bit more expensive, but worth it...
Excellent compact tiller with the usual Honda ease-of-starting. It has a primer bulb to load the carburetor, and if used per instructions, the engine will start cold the first or second pull. Hot-starting (without the choke or priming) is almost always first pull. Most people comment how quiet the engine is...much easier on the ears than 2 cycles. I questioned that the tiller would feel underpowered from such a tiny (25 cc.) engine. It was obvious after the first couple of minutes that was absolutely NOT a problem; it really churns up the soil. It stores easily, with or without the handle folded. I dismounted the wheels, and simply carry the tiller from one job to another; it weighs only 25 pounds. The loop handle in front of the engine makes it easy. This is a quality tiller that should last for many years. I couldn't be happier... ... show more

  • Nice little machine
Took about a minute to assemble. Flipped the handlebars up, tightened the wing nuts, filled with oil, gas and fired right up. Has plenty of power for my small garden. Used neighbors mantis before this and I am glad I chose the Honda. Has a lot more power and isnโ€™t a stinky 2 stroke. I would recommend this to anyone whoโ€™s looking for a nice cultivator ... show more

  • Excellent
WOW. This little tiller was shipped within an hour of ordering. Arrived one day early. Perfectly ready for easy setup. Added oil and fuel. Primed and started first pull. Idles perfectly. Runs very smooth. Shut down after warm up. Cooled it down. Started first pull no choke for second warm up. Sometimes the extra cost is worth it. ... show more

Owned a Mantis 2 stroke, lasted 8 yrs before i had starting problems.Used 20 hrs a season.hated to spend the money for this Honda 110 but glad i did, what a difference. With Mantis you have to walk backwards,Honda has forward turning tines and has more power, easy to start and quiet. It purpose is to cultivate between vegetable garden rows that have already been plowed disced and planted ... show more

  • Great Little Tiller
I seldom write a review. This is the exception. This little tiller is amazing. Light weight, powerful, and if you are looking for a small tiller this is the one. Honda engine, and one pull start.

  • Runs like a sewing machine
This thing saved me so much time after I let my vegetable garden get a little too overgrown with weeds. It starts easy, runs well, and sips fuel. I think it's a bit overpriced, but what isn't these days?

  • I Really Like this Cultivator
EDIT> This cultivator comes with tilling/cultivation tines. I see no need to have the digging tines unless you are indeed digging a ditch or a hole. In fact just with the cultivation tines the tiller tries to bury itself. I like the default tines just fine. Did my homework for days on end to find and buy the perfect cultivator for my garden. I am extremely happy with this little guy! At first, I couldn't get it to start, but then I found the on/off switch on the handlebar and it started right up! This is the perfect machine for my needs. My garden is 50' x 60' and is really too much to hoe. Weeds and grass were getting ahead of me until I unboxed this tiller and started "hoeing". Grass and weeds are now gone and I can't wait for more weed seed to sprout so that I can "hoe" them again! I have also used the tiller in my foundation beds in preparation for re-establishing shrubbery. A little tricky around old roots, but it sure does the job! This is a powerful machine and it stresses my 72 year old body to use it. However, it is much better than a "big" tiller. One feature that isn't mentioned is the "rock detector" function. If you are tilling along and hit a rock, the detector function kicks in and the tiller bounces up into the air!! Makes a good case for getting all the rocks out of my garden. ... show more

  • OK for flower beds. It would be hard to ...
We Bought this for my Mom for Mother's day. Her's was stolen from her Garage so we kids all pitched in to buy her another just like the one stolen. She purchased her first one ( Same Model) from a John Deere Dealer It was stronger and could dig better even though it was the same make and model in the 2 years since thing have changed on the new model. It's OK for flower beds. It would be hard to use for bigger jobs like putting in New Garden and Flower beds that you would need to till up for first time and on harder soils. We had to work harder and it took longer. It's easier for women to handle and ok for basic tilling or soil that has been tilled before and is softer soil. ... show more
