Overview: This is a magnifier for use behind a red dot optic and I suspect a holographic type as well but I didn’t have one available Intended usage and suitability to task: I wanted a magnifier for use behind a trijicon MRO optic. I find that target precision is difficult with my aging eyes beyond 100 yards. The magnifier had to be at least 3x , have a good mount included and be weatherproof. This was not to be in place all the time so a quick release mount would be preferable. Glass clarity was important as it was the main reason for getting one. Eye relief had to be around 3 inches for my setup Function/appearance/ operation : The unit seems well made. It’s about average in weight compared to the others I had seen ( vortex, primary arms ) the mount was usable and flips to the right which I prefer. Several hard wiggles did not flip it which is nice as I don’t want it flopping around. The glass was clear and I did not notice any odd color casting. I was able to adjust the focus ring easily with glasses and with them off so the range of adjustment was good for my eyes. The magnifier set up well behind my red dot and I did not have to do any adjustments with the vertical or horizontal adjustment. The one drawback with it is when the red dot and magnifier are in place there is no room to mount it if you wish to keep all in the receiver and have a rear backup sight. It was not an issue in my case as I use offset back up sights so it was not an issue. Overall I believe the price was reasonable and it was well made and suitable for its intended usage and if your use / need is similar to mine I can recommend this unit. ... show more

This 3x Magnifier is one of the better-rated online and, on inspection, it truly is excellent in its glass clarity, eye box and eye relief. The Flip-To-Side action is very positive with no wobble in either position. Well worth your consideration. I'm happy!

Outstanding product loved the magnifier, put it on my ar-15 and used with my strike eagle 2 red dot and works flawlessly...easy to install..comes in very nice case, with everything you need mount it it on the rail. First off... I love Holosun... All my holosun products are great with no issues or regrets.... However this one might just be one of the misses potentially in the QC department. I am currently doing a build which includes an optic (which I will remain unnamed) riser / and a FTC combo. After much researching, I decided on the HM3XT due to its shorter footprint, clarity, and eye relief. I had the optic for maybe about half an hour to check my contents and immediately noticed a vertical line in my lens. Its hard describe however there was this vertical off center line going from end to end which bothered me enough for the return. Besides this issue, I will still review the item without bias to this specific issue. The glass "clarity" is definitely at par with most other magnifiers out there. (I am comparing to the 3X-C, G43, G33, Micro 3x, and the Juliet3. Eye box / Eye Relief all within similar distances, I was excited as this fit the bill for my current set up. The adjustment is good like most others mentioned however the flip function is questionable. It feels a bit rough compared to all the other magnifiers mentioned but the grittiness is there. I appreciate the included magnifier adjustment tool embedded within the frame which is a nice touch. The adjustability of making it tighter / loose on the flip function is appreciated however another option to potentially go wrong through use. For what it is at its current price point, I dont think you will find a better magnifier. Overall this would have been a great add on for my build. The quality and price reflects, unless you are planning to upgrade or change out the flip mount to lets say a Unity FTC, I feel like this would be the only weak point on this overall package. I will eventually venture back to the HM3XT for another future build however after this 1 off experience, I have already sourced elsewhere for a different magnifier (review coming!) ... show more
