This strap really surprised me. The quality of the strap itself is very very nice and slick so it doesn't grind/scratch your surfboards or rack. The strap cams/clamps themselves are very strong and do not let the strap go anywhere. But that rubber housing around the clamps is what truly sets this apart from other straps out there! I can't tell you how many times over the years I've unclamped straps and pulled on them without thinking just to have the metal clamp fall onto the roof of my car. These rubber housings are incredibly thick and if they fall onto your roof/hood/windshield etc it's a soft thud instead of a clank and scratch/crack. Finally, the length is amazing. I don't know how many boards I could strap down on my car but it's more than the amount of people I could fit in my car! I've also used this to strap down large sheets of plywood and other lumber for short trips and it held it all down without issue. This is a strong versatile strap! For the price, I did NOT expect this kind of quality. Truly a full 5/5. Now I need some Ho Stevie! surf bags!

You could strap down like eleven boards with these things and still have some to tuck in the car door. J/K but they’re mad long and do what ya need em to do!

Love the protective rubber coverings over the buckles. Good quality and durable strap. Getting the strap fed thru the opening is a bit awkward, though. It’s like the very end of the strap naturally has a little bend in it so I frequently hit the metal around the opening several times when trying to feed it through. Eventually, I finagle it enough to find a way to push it thru the opening and then cinching it tight. The rubber protection over the buckles is flexible but does move around a bit. Hoping it holds up! I actually like the storage case, too, and always roll my straps up into it for storage. Clean and tidy!

We’re a total beach bum family and often head out with surfboards and longboards, but with a RAV4 and a family of four, our cargo space is maxed out with beach gear. No room in the back seat, either. This tie down system has been perfect for transporting boards to the beach without cramming the car! It was super easy to install — took less than a minute, and it feels pretty heavy duty. We’ve been able to stack multiple boards securely, which is a huge bonus for our crew. Just a heads-up: • You need to already have roof racks — this system attaches to them. These are not roof racks themselves. • The straps to secure the boards are sold separately, so make sure you grab those too, or you’ll be stuck! Once you have everything, though, this is a must-have for any surf-loving family who’s tight on space but big on adventure.

Great product. Just as advertised. Silicone cover over the buckle, so banging on the metal or scratching up the car. Plus it does not slide around. The other plus, it does no cause pressure dents on the bottom of the surfboard due to the silicone cover. Easy to put on and take off. Not noisy when driving.

Used the straps to secure two boards. They worked great held into place well. Long enough for another board or two. We have bought these Great straps, rack pillows, fins, leash, canvas sack all have been solid and I will continue buying from them.
