I really hate to give a bad review but this is my experience and I learned a lot about what makes a good bike rack. My first issue and I wish I saw this before purchasing is that the add pictures are all badly photoshopped and don't really show bikes secured to the back of a vehicle. Second issue, is that the documentation that comes with the rack list this as a 180 pound rack and not 200 pound capacity as advertised. Third, the upright bar that hold the hooks has about 4 inches of play fore and aft no matter how much you tighten it causing the bikes to wobble in the rack. The hooks bump into each other making it impossible to clamp down 2 bikes of the same height. Next, When folded the pin doesn't hold the vertical bar close to the rack so it has to be tied down or it will bank against the back of the car. Next issue is the wheel rests if that what they are called are the same height for both bikes making it harder to keep the bikes from bumping into each other when securing them to the rack. The clamps that hold then in place wont secure into a fixed position no matter how much you tighten them and wobble badly. Only the weight of the bikes keeps them in place. This rack at a minimum requires a longer vertical bar with ratchetting hooks that are offset and a better means of locking the wheel rests to the frame so they don't wiggle or slide to make it useable. ... show more

Straps are pretty cheap and it doesn't really work if all four bikes are the same size, but it is sturdy and holds my different sized bikes on with absolutely no slop.

Rack was easy to assemble. Easy to mount to Jeep Wrangler. One issue was the back door will not open as needed. This rack is not a good fit for a Jeep Wrangler.
