  • The drive failed after 5 months
This has been a really bad experience based on the length of time i have owned this drive. I bought two of them and put them into a two drive Synology NAS. This afternoon or was being and looking at the status one of the drives failed. So now i have to replaced it. I debated on buying those or spending a bit more money and getting a Western Digital drive, needles too say i made the wrong choice. Buy something else. ... show more

  • Loud may be an understatement.
First SAS drive and first time with this model it's loud. I can tune out my 5 just 3tb sata 7500s and sleep through them. Sounds different than any other hdd I have ever had not sure if it's normal so I ordered another by another vendor to compare. it survived bad blocks with no errors and passed a long smart test. Make sure you double check the titles for SAS and sata I made a mistake but wasn't a huge deal since I ordered a SAS controller at the same time and just ordered SAS cables when I noticed. These are used drives but I haven't had am just with 4 years power on time fail. ... show more

  • Affordable Replacement Hard Drive
I recently had one of my hard drives go bad in my server. I took to Amazon to find a replacement that was affordable and can get to me quickly. That is when I found this hard drive. Pretty much just a standard 4TB 7200RPM hard drive. The price was good and it was brand new so I purchased it. So far this device hasn't given me any issues and performs as it should. I would highly recommend this drive for anyone who doesn't want an SSD or needs more capacity than an SSD might offer. ... show more

  • Best value, huge storage, great
$60 for 4 terrabytes!!! My nephew's were sick when they couldn't play fortnite cuz I ran out of storage space and update didn't have enough room. Lol. this product was here a day early and super fast, like hours. and I had it installed and running in minutes. Perfect. Alot larger the I was expecting but still fit in my slot. Best buy out there. 90 day Amazon refurbished warranty and 3 yr manufacturer warranty, I might even put in a second one, lol ... show more

  • A bit noisy but inexpensive per GB.
THese disks are a bit noisy but much less expensive than new 4T disks. The transfer rates and latency of these compared to WD Blues is very good, and since they're enterprise drives I don't need to worry about beating on them a bit since that's what they're designed for. If I got *new* WD Gold/Ultrastar disks I'd have paid about twice as much. I'm a happy customer. ... show more

  • Good value storage
This drive is slower than my Western Digital Caviar Black, and a tiny bit slower than my Seagate and WD Blue drives per CrystalDisk. Those are all also 7200rpm drives. However, this drive tested as having no bad sectors and looks and acts just like a brand new drive so far and I can't tell the difference in real world usage. ... show more

  • LOUD
I've had this almost 6 months and it hasn't failed yet, although that's a concern. But it is LOUD. Since day one. Read, write, spin, all kinds of noises. Noise means vibration and that's often deadly, so I'm looking for a new one. It's mirrored to another drive so I could just wait for it to fail. But I'm going to replace it now because I can't take the noise any more. ... show more

  • It really works
Second time buying these renewed drives...Haven't messed on me yet. Weirdly the new WD and Seagate ones I got failed. LOL. It's a 4TB for a cheap price...It's not a WD Black edition or a Toshiba 300 speed but where are you gonna get a deal like this for 4TB? Wanna save and have a lot of space for your game collection? Get it. ... show more
