This product works like a should. We do the Time to Time program on our chicken coop. It works perfectly every time. Just got to make sure the door is clear of any wood chips or hay. The Only reason I did not give it five stars was because the remote does not work. The first one the sensor did not work and the door didn't stop going up and it kept turning but the customer service was great replaced it however On both products neither remote worked. I just order 3v batteries hopefully it's just a dead battery but we'll see. Other than that it works like it's supposed to ... show more

This is a great addition to the coop and is only losing one star because it requires absolutely no debris to be in the frame to close the door which is difficult considering the chickens scratch around in the coop.

The first one I received would not stay closed or open. Kept try to move. Second one I received wouldn’t stop moving. I discovered that a sensor with adhesive backing wasn’t attached. After a little trial and error I got it to operate as it should. We went on a weeks long vacation shortly after getting it and it opened and closed every time. Product is sturdy and durable. Waterproof has been good so far. Remote…trash…I have to be right on top of the door to get it to work…and can’t operate it from inside the coop have to be within 5ft of the door looking straight at the control panel. Door safety mode…it’s either all or nothing…you get no protection meaning it will close on your chickens if they are in the way…or it’s too sensitive…simplest little grains of sand are setting the door off when closing at a level 4 of 8. It’s a decent product but I would spend the extra to buy something better next time. ... show more

First unit-door would unexpectedly close. Returned no problem. Next unit worked fine for about 3 weeks. Checked unit in the evening, door would not close. Door was trying to close but going up and down. Upon checking inside the main unit, the wiring had come loose and was caught in the door gearing. I pushed the wire out of the way and it started working as it should. Next day I added additional tape to the wiring in an attempt to keep the unit working. Not impressed so far. Update: after approximately 90 days of service I would not recommend this product, it will not close. The unit never worked with any reliability. ... show more

Magnet sensors were placed improperly in housing. Finally got it working and it only lasted a month. Constant errors regardless of tension strength. Errors mean the door gives up on closing and then my chickens get eaten by foxes.
