I work on embedded systems with large focus on ease of use. This is well done. You can figure it out w/o reading the instructions. No confusing menus to navigate, you use a knob to select what you want to set. Great. I had another brand wifi timer and I returned it. I would have had to reconfigure my router to get it to work. UPDATE: Restmo customer support reached out to me once they found out that 1 of my 5 sprinkler timers I bought from them, broke after 28 days. They apologized that it stopped working and informed me that I have an 18-month worry-free replacement warranty. They offered to send me a new one free of charge. Although 1 of them broke, I am impressed by their customer service to replace any defective timers if something happens within 18 months. I think you can't ask for more than that. They did not ask me to update my review. I just decided to update it on my own since they will back up their product and want to make sure you are happy with it. We need more companies with customer service like this. Read my original 2-star review below... I bought 5 of these. Easy to use, easy to setup, easy to understand. And I thought they were reliable. But 1 broke on the 28th day of use. Today I noticed one of my sprinklers was still going. The timer never shut off so the sprinkler was going all night. The batteries on the timer showed they were dead. I put in new batteries and it showed only 50% power. Then within 10 seconds the bar went down and showed zero power. My thinking is that perhaps water somehow got into this timer. The inside of the battery compartment was dry. But out of the 5 timers of this model I have, this is the only one that gets hit by water a lot so I think somehow water may have gotten inside and damaged it. The other 4 I've been using for 6 weeks without any issues and they all show 100% power on the timers. This one I used for 28 days, and it's the only one getting hit by water since it's on a different location and gets sprayed by the sprinkler. The other 4 don't get sprayed by a sprinkler. I will be returning both of the units I purchased. I got one thinking I could water front and back of my yard without having to go out and turn the water on! Excellent. However, after programming the first unit it kicked on a both side one and side two came on as I programmed for two days or so then completely stopped working on one side. Zero reason for this and nothing was changed. I ordered another unit thinking maybe one of them had a defect… nope same thing happened with this one. It watered both front and back for a few days then mysteriously one side completely stopped working. I even went as far as to program the non-working side to a time and stood there and waited for it to click on. Sure enough, no water coming through. No idea what the problem is. I use this sprinkler timer to add water to our pond. It is easy to program and simply does its job. No leaks so far. I particularly like that this timer is much smaller and lighter than the one I used before while providing the same functionality. I recommend this timer and would buy it again. UPDATE 10/16/23: Close to 1 year after purchasing the timer, it stopped working. The "low battery" symbol appeared, so I thought it was just a matter of replacing the batteries. However, as it turned out, things went downhill from there. With the new batteries the display started behaving erratically. A few days later the display went completely dead. I then tried multiple sets of new batteries but no luck. I was ready to give up and buy a new timer but decided to contact the seller since I had seen in a review that there may be a 18-month warranty. Sure enough, the seller responded quickly and offered to send a free replacement timer out to me. I received the new timer a couple of days ago and it works great. That's very impressive customer service for which I would add another star if I had not already given 5 stars as part of the original review. ... show more

This does the job I bought it for, which is to water my lawn automatically so it won't die when I'm out of town. it has 2 valves and I set one of them up on an automatic program which was fairlyeasy to do. That has worked reliably and well. The other valve I operate manually on an occasional basis. It is not easy to get it to function on a manual setting and usually takes several attempts to get it to work. For that reason I gave it a '3' rating. It has an LCD screen which has withstood the sun so far but it is not as easy to use as I would expect. ... show more

I was a little leery but very pleased when I got it hooked up and everything tightened down. Instructions were easy to understand and thorough. Battery compartment was easy to get into (no screws - hate when they do that) and is sealed to be water tight. I like the metal fittings - but it does seem a bit soft so you still have to be gentle with it to avoid stripping/bending. Still better than plastic that gets brittle and breaks. So far no leaks. Have gone through one watering cycle using two different timing settings for left and right. Have tried the manual function and that worked smashingly as well. Time will tell for certain but right out of the box it seems like a good product for the money. Hoping battery life will run through the season. ... show more
