I was extremely skeptical at buying this product when I first looked into it. There weren't many reviews on it that were actually helpful so I'm going to go over a couple of things that I think will help anyone looking for speakers. First and foremost if you are making music and you're using a DAW out of the box the speakers work great. They are very comfortable to the Mackie cr3. And for a cheaper price. There is great bass response all the way down to 39 Hertz. The highs are extremely clear and the sound as well separated. The Tweeter also sounds great. And the flat response is also amazing for making music at this price. Now if you are buying these to listen to music on a computer for example the setup is extremely simple is as simple as Plug and Play. However you will not get the best sound out of the speakers if that's all you do. You will have to download some form of equalizer. I personally recommend a program called PC equalizer. After you download The Equalizer you will have to change the values throughout the equalizer to get the best sound out of the speakers. I will add a picture of my preferred setup for the equalizer. Naturally the speaker sound very flat but thank God they are built with an amp that can output stereo sound and that's the reason for the equalizer. Now if you want to plug in this up to a TV directly he will not need an equalizer. If you are using the Bluetooth function with your cell phone or a tablet or something like that you will not need an equalizer the natural sound to Bluetooth is actually quite different than being directly plugged up with an RCA cable. If you are looking for a competitor to the Mackie cr3 is for example or the PreSonus speakers and you want to spend less than $100 these speakers will definitely surprised you once you have them plugged in. When you hold them in Hand of speakers themselves are not heavy. However the build quality is very good. The covers over the speakers are very flimsy so I would say be careful with how you interact with them. However if we are basing this review purely on sound quality I would highly recommend these speakers for those listening to music or those making music. ... show more

Bought these speakers for my office. They are well built and look sturdy. The directions are simple and the Bluetooth connects flawlessly. It is rather strange to hear a woman with a German accent announcing the speakers are ready to pair and announcing again when they’ve connected successfully. A minor annoyance. The 300 watt claim is bogus. These speakers are 15 watts/channel max. These speakers do not play loud and are not efficient as indicated by an SPL of only 88 dB. The bass is muddy. But all is not lost, a sweetspot can be had when positioned correctly. Turn Treble all the way up and leave the bass set on middle (flat) setting and turn volume up to about 80% of max volume. I added extra wire to the slave unit so I could position the about 12 feet apart in the corners of the wall about 15 feet behind my desk. These speakers sound best paired to an iPhone and listening to them at ear level from a distance of about 15 feet away. At that distance you hear good sound,clean highs, ok bass, good separation and good phase imaging. Not great speakers but a bargain for the price. Wish they had more power and were multi set pairable. If they were I would buy more. ... show more

Great pair of speakers, attached speakers, attached power cord and setup blue tooth. From box to sound in about five minutes. I don't understand the negative reviews. First, maybe it is a different version but I don't get a weird voice when connecting to Bluetooth. Just normal quick message saying you're connected. Reviews of being cheap quality is not the case. I don't know what people think they are going to get in this price range but I am very happy with the sound quality and ease of use these speakers provide. I have only just started using them so don't know how long they will last, but again in the price range I have no complaints whatsoever. Sorry, 1 day later and I have one complaint. There is small blue led light on the back of the active speaker which blinks while in use. Found This to be annoying at night. Will get some black paint or electrical tape today to cover it up. 6/18/20* Have had them for a week now and have them placed on stands, and spliced in new speaker cable to reach where I wanted them. I had to update to five stars for these speakers. The quality, sound, and ease of these speakers deserve the extra star. Especially given the price, any of the negative comments in my opinion are unfounded. ... show more
