I have purchased other brands of pool pillows only to be disappointed because the plastic was so thin, the air intake seal was such a poor design, they leaked air requiring me to either keep refilling them, or just abandoning using them. I resorted to purchasing some tire inner tubes, but discovered they are very expensive. Apparently there are several high quality pool pillows now made. This year I acquired several different brands to see which one I liked best. I like this brand a lot. There are NO cons to this pillow! When I like something, I believe in letting people know. This is a fat pillow so it will raise the pool cover a decent height (picture 3). Look at those DOUBLE, WIDE seams! I love them! (Picture 1). In picture 2, you will notice THREE parts to the air valve. This is wide to allow ease of inflation. I can’t show this in a picture, but the outside covering is durably thick. These qualities are becoming the high bar standard of quality to look for and expect. Although you are here and there are other pillows of this quality, for the price and this high quality, this is a great deal. This performance exceeded my expectations. I can easily recommend this brand.

The vinyl on this pillow is .016” thick – over twice the thickness of other ones we’ve tried. The corners have nice vinyl grommets with little metal wire rings embedded in them for reinforcement. This pillow came with a small clear vinyl patch, and single 40 foot piece of thin nylon rope – we had to cut the rope down, and burn the ends to prevent fraying. 40 feet wasn’t enough for our application so we added additional paracord. The Boston valve on this pillow is really heavy-duty, like the kind used on high-end air beds. It uses a large screw-in main valve (for fast deflating with a vacuum) and a smaller screw-in filler with a one-way valve for inflating – both have rubber gaskets. Much prefer this type of valve instead of the cheaper clear plastic filler valves with the flapper that tend to leak air. Using an electric Intex air pump, we filled it in about 90 seconds! The valve doesn’t retract into the pillow – so we placed the pillow under our reflection pond tarp with the valve pointing down so it wouldn’t damage the tarp. We’ll see how it survives this winter. Highly recommend this pool cover pillow!
